Cowardly and corrupt Republicans. Sure hope our resident HoyaTalk Republucans are proud of their party. You bought GOP lies. Silence = complicity. This is how Trump is adapting his brand of demagogic populism to his “post-presidency,” as he perhaps plots an eventual third presidential campaign but certainly maintains his grip on the Republican Party and molds it in his image. His strategy now is no different from the one he followed while president: to politicize institutions so that he can bend them to his will and personal interests. His disdain as president for the independence of the Department of Justice, his baldly political and self-interested uses of the pardon power, his effort to obstruct the presidential transition process: These and other abuses of power in the Trump presidency have the same source, in the same politics, as his drive to compromise the electoral process. www.lawfareblog.com/danger-moment

They are coming for you, sociopath. NY RICO statute, I hope. NEW YORK — Manhattan's district attorney has convened the grand jury that is expected to decide whether to indict former president Donald Trump, other executives at his company or the business itself should prosecutors present the panel with criminal charges, according to two people familiar with the development. It suggests . . . that Vance believes he has found evidence of a crime — if not by Trump then by someone potentially close to him or by his company www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/trump-investigation-grand-jury/2021/05/25/5f47911c-bcca-11eb-83e3-0ca705a96ba4_story.html

Sociopath cancelled for up to two years. Facebook was never his bullhorn of choice, it was Twitter. The bigger impact is from Instagram, where Trump didn't quite understand the power of that platform--in some cases, more than Facebook. I suppose he could always open an account on VK, pardon the irony... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VK_(service)

I suppose he could always open an account on VK, pardon the irony... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VK_(service)Not his bullhorn but his fundraising vehicle. The big picture: While Trump is known for his connection to Twitter, Facebook has always been central to his campaign strategy. His team used the social network relentlessly in 2016 and 2020 to raise money and energize hardcore supporters. Trump spent around $160 million on Facebook ads in 2020, microtargeting key supporters. Biden spent $117 million on the same effort. www.axios.com/trump-facebook-reinstate-2024-bid-c9e51b54-7b35-4751-b620-0ceccd0979f8.htmlFacebook has become crucial for raising money and for targeting supporters and swing voters, something the Trump campaign did in unprecedented ways. The majority of online ad dollars go to either Facebook or Google. "Even with all the resources Donald Trump has," Wilson said, "Facebook is so much bigger than that, that you can't get around it." www.npr.org/2021/05/06/994063372/why-facebooks-decision-on-trump-could-be-make-or-break-for-his-political-future"Trump would have remained the easiest quick ticket to fundraising success for the candidates he endorsed, and they would’ve been able to run those ads on Facebook and Instagram to drive pretty quick donating success among Trump supporters," Jacobson said. "At this point Republicans will have to probably pivot more to issue-focused messaging and drawing clear distinctions between themselves and their opponents." www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/06/04/trumps-suspension-facebook-throws-wrench-online-fundraising/7546798002/

Coming for Weisselberg. In NY unlike a federal grand jury, if you are subpoenaed to testify you are immunized and cannot take the 5th Amendment. Flip Weisselberg and the sociopath is in deep merde. RICO! RICO! RICO! One of the most senior officials in the Trump Organization has testified before a special grand jury empaneled by the Manhattan District Attorney's office to hear evidence against former President Donald Trump and his company, sources with direct knowledge of the matter told ABC News. abcnews.go.com/US/manhattan-da-brought-trump-organization-controller-testify-special/story?id=78088595

Coming for Weisselberg. In NY unlike a federal grand jury, if you are subpoenaed to testify you are immunized and cannot take the 5th Amendment. Flip Weisselberg and the sociopath is in deep merde. We already know his angle: "I know nothing about this." "Witch hunt!" "I cannot comment until the audit is over." "I get treated very badly by New York, very unfairly." "Either way, it's all my advisors' fault." "It's Michael's Cohen's fault." "I can still pardon myself, right?" "OK, it's Eric's fault. And Don Jr. too." "Did I add it's Hillary Clinton's fault? Lock her up!" "I'm on a private jet out of the country and can't comment further."
