Orange psycho loses another one. No doubt the mango maniac and his shysters will petition either for rehearing en banc or certiorari to SCOTUS.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Friday narrowed the scope of a subpoena issued by a House committee seeking financial records from former President Donald Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars.
Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan and Judge Judith Rogers issued the decision holding that heightened separation-of-powers concerns still exist even though Trump is no longer president. The judges also found the committee demonstrated it has a legitimate legislative purpose in seeking the records.
“We uphold the Committee’s authority to subpoena certain of President Trump’s financial records in furtherance of the Committee’s enumerated legislative purposes. But we cannot sustain the breadth of the Committee’s subpoena. Rather, in carrying out the Supreme Court’s directive to ‘insist on a subpoena no broader than reasonably necessary to support Congress’s legislative objective,’ we determine for the following reasons that the Committee’s subpoena must be narrowed in a number of respects,” Srinivasan wrote.

Sometime in the past two weeks, Cheney said, Trump tried to call someone whom she identified as a witness who has not yet appeared in the committee’s hearings. The person didn’t take the call and instead alerted their lawyer, who in turn told the committee. The committee reported the call to the Justice Department, Cheney said, suggesting the possibility of a crime. The revelation was extraordinary because the call allegedly came from Trump himself, rather than an intermediary, and followed a warning at the committee’s previous hearing on June 28 about messages to one of the committee’s witnesses. A person familiar with the committee’s work said both messages that Cheney read out loud during that earlier hearing were directed to Cassidy Hutchinson, a former Trump White House aide who was that day’s star witness. www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/07/12/trump-witness-tampering-jan-6/

Fulton County DA has sent target letters to Trump allies in Georgia investigation. Get them to flip Coming for the mango maniac I hope. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) sent out “target” letters to prominent Republican officials informing them that they could be indicted in connection with a scheme to appoint an alternative slate of pro-Donald Trump electors in Georgia, Yahoo News reported on Friday. According to the report, the recipients of the letters include state Sen. Burt Jones (R), who was Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R) running mate for lieutenant governor; David Shafer, the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party; and state Sen. Brandon Beach (R). lawandcrime.com/georgia-election-probe/fulton-county-da-reportedly-sent-target-letters-to-prominent-georgia-republicans-in-donald-trump-probe-heres-what-that-means/

Trump, Jr., and Ivanka were supposed to testify today in the Trump Organization fraud case in New York. It was delayed by the death of Ivana Trump. Imagine if, on the eve of a Trump enemy needing to testify in a an investigation against them, say Hillary Clinton, that an accidental death forced a delay of the testimony. Is there any doubt that the conspiratorial conjecture from Republicans, including some in Congress, would include speculation that It was indeed no accident at all? I’m sure even Tucker Carlson would join in.

For those who are unaware, Marcus has a law degree from HLS. But my squeamishness and doubts have yielded — if not to the absolute conviction that Trump should be prosecuted, then to the increasing belief that charges are warranted, and that failing to bring them would be more damaging to the nation than turning a blind eye to his effort to subvert democracy and prevent the peaceful transfer of power. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/07/15/prosecute-trump-garland-case/

The mango maniac is a traitorous POS psychopath. I guess the 9/11 families haven't been paying attention to the orange psycho's behavior the last 7 years. If they had been, they'd understand. Relatives of Sept. 11 victims urged Donald Trump to cancel an LIV Golf tournament scheduled for the end of this month at the former president’s Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. “We simply cannot understand how you could agree to accept money from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s golf league to host their tournament at your golf course, and to do so in the shadows of Ground Zero in New Jersey, which lost over 700 residents during the attacks,” the group writes in a letter obtained by The Post. www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/07/18/9-11-families-trump-liv-golf/

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, the Trump campaign was way short on cash. The "billionaire" president was way short on cash. He's not stopped fundraising since he lost bigly. And, these rubes keep giving him money. I wonder if it's possible that a man that has declared bankruptcy several times isn't particularly good with his finances.

So much corruption and lies oozed from the orange psycho's maladministration of the USG that stories like this get lost. In any other administration, this would be a major scandal. Previously unreleased internal communications indicate the Trump administration tried to add a citizenship question to the census with the goal of affecting congressional apportionment, according to a report issued Wednesday by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. The documents appear to contradict statements made under oath by Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, who told the committee that the push for a citizenship question was unrelated to apportionment and the reason for adding it was to help enforce the Voting Rights Act. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/07/20/new-evidence-disputes-trump-administrations-citizenship-question-rationale/

The mango maniac is basically a career criminal. Vos is saying in a polite way that the orange psycho is just that - psycho. MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s Republican house speaker said Tuesday that former president Donald Trump called him “within the last week” seeking to overturn the 2020 presidential election that Joe Biden won. Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) told WISN in Milwaukee that he received a call from Trump after the state Supreme Court ruled on July 8 that most absentee ballot drop boxes in Wisconsin are illegal. The ruling addresses future elections, not the one Trump lost in 2020 by more than 20,000 votes in Wisconsin. “I think we all know Donald Trump is Donald Trump,” Vos said. “There’s very little we can do to control or predict what he will do.” www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/07/20/trump-election-wisconsin-vos-overturn/www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/07/20/trumps-deluded-effort-flip-2020-results-wisconsin-explained/

Vile traitorous MAGA GOP led by the Putin's puppet. Consider that the tiny group in the Oval Office that night was made up of not one, not two, but three people who’d had direct contact with employees or sanctioned or convicted agents of the Russian government: Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former Overstock chief executive Patrick Byrne. At a moment of grave national peril for the United States, this was an astonishing intelligence achievement for Russia. Giuliani, Flynn and Byrne had all been likely targets of Russian information collection. Russia sought to gain access, develop relationships and, in varying ways, gather information from and convey disinformation to men who later had direct access to the Oval Office and the president. Each one, whether he knew it or not, had been bought, suckered or seduced by Russia. www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2022/07/22/peter-strzok-giuliani-flynn-oval-office/

I actually meant to post this last week, but didn't get around to it. "People are saying" that Trump killed Ivana. Not me, of course, but hey, that's what "people are saying."
