He usually starts. Came in about 2 minutes in and played basically the rest of the game. He’s skilled. The biggest challenge for the staff will be getting him to play hard every minute. Isn’t that one of the knocks on Sibley? Also, wasn’t there an article about Kobe disappearing in some games? QUINCY, Ill. — Kobe Clark parked himself at the end of the bench Friday night. A senior point forward for the Vashon boys basketball team, Clark had a forgettable first half and coach Tony Irons took him off the court to see what he could get from someone else. “I know I get on to him a lot because I have such high expectations for him,” Irons said. “I come down on him pretty hard sometimes. I have nothing but the utmost confidence in him." www.stltoday.com/sports/high-school/boys-basketball/clark-propels-vashons-second-half-surge-in-win-over-sacramento-sheldon/article_44870d78-3f33-11ea-a57a-07bbad747e47.html

If Billingley had Clark's motor he'd be a beast. Sibley showed good effort when I've watched him previously.

He went quiet often at Oak Hill, but I think that had more to do with the guys he was playing with than him being a floater. Agreed that Jalin with Clark’s motor would be a very high caliber player, and probably would be at a different school because of it... hopefully Coach Pat brings that dog out in him.

When you play with Cam Thomas it's easy to go quiet, he dominated the ball and with good reason, he was a vicious scorer @ Oak Hill but if you're his teammate it might be frustrating.

DALTON — Highly touted Lutheran East High School, with its explosive offense and stifling defense, further enhanced its reputation as one of Ohio’s top teams with a convincing 88-57 victory over Dalton Tuesday night on the Bulldogs’ home court. The Falcons, led by Georgetown recruit Jay Billingsley, were superb in all phases of the game, particularly with their cat-like quickness at both ends of the floor. Billingsley, a 6-foot-8 senior, led the assault with 24 points, 16 of which came in the first half. He was joined by 6-foot-3 senior Jalen Knott, as well as senior Collin Albert, who is being recruited by Notre Dame, and Jared Lary, a Cleveland State recruit. Knott scored 17 points,15 of which came from behind the arc. Albert and Lary chipped in with 16 and 12 points, respectively. www.the-daily-record.com/story/sports/2020/12/16/boys-basketball-state-title-contender-lutheran-east-overwhelms-dalton/3913834001/

Billingsley playing my former HS tonight, watched a stream, he looks good. Had a steal and a dunk with 6 seconds left to take the lead. Pretty athletic and versatile player. His team is ranked 2nd in a strong NE Ohio area, only behind st Vincent St Mary’s (lebrons former HS) that has a 5 star and high 4 star.

Billingsly is an intriguing player. He seems to have a solid skill level for his size. He can shoot a bit, he can put the ball on the floor against slower defenders. He seems to know how to use his body to protect the ball and score down low. He is not an explosive athlete, but he has good feet and coordination. If he can gain a little more strength and explosiveness by getting into better shape - he has a chance to develop into a nice versatile 4. there is nothing real flashy about his game, but guys his height who are solidly built, can shoot, can post up, and can take their man off the dribble - are not easy to find. Defense might be an issue- not sure he has the lateral quickness to defend on the perimeter. But he moves his feet well on offense, so maybe he can get by defensively. Looking forward to seeing how he looks against college competition next year.

He can get a bit passive and he needs to get into better shape for his game to hit the next level. Those are two things Coach Ewing and staff could really make a difference with.

Billingsley finished with 7pts. Who won the game and was he dominated by his opponent? How many points did the Livingston kid end up with?

I like the Livingston kid. I’d say Billingslley has a ways to go before we expect much out of him from the clips I’ve seen.

Nice job of cutting to the open spot, albeit against not great defense.
