Feels like an important get for a floundering program. Congrats to the staff and welcome to the Hilltop Jordan! Just a reminder that there does not have to be a turd in every pool. Sometimes, we can just be happy for the good things without saying anything nasty. It's true. Congrats to Coach on a big score and to Jordan for picking the best darn program in the world at the best university. HOYA SAXA Kid, welcome aboard 1 2 3 Fireballs

Is it just me or is anyone else secretly thinking, "It's a long way from now until next August. He aint here yet".

Is it just me or is anyone else secretly thinking, "It's a long way from now until next August. He aint here yet". The way this past season went - I'm thinking this about pretty much every player, pretty much every day!

Is it just me or is anyone else secretly thinking, "It's a long way from now until next August. He aint here yet". In all honesty, I am not. I am thinking that our staff is working hard, that the strengths of Georgetown, its legacy, academics and legendary staff, are getting us moving in a great direction. I am nothing but thrilled about a young man who knows that his arrival here equates to lots more wins for G-town. Yes, please!! Sign me up for some of that!!!

This was a great video, get whoever made it into the AD! Loved the combo of old PE/Gtown clips with Jordan's current highlights.

Well that's the case for every commitment at every school, until they sign an LOI. And nowadays even after that. So having to mention seems just an attempt to undercut any positive developments.

Is it just me or is anyone else secretly thinking, "It's a long way from now until next August. He aint here yet". It’s a fair question ...but I do think kids committing to the Hoyas are doing so with their eyes wide open and aware of the recent trials and tribulations. At the same time, they also understand that we are a piece or two away from being a formidable team and they want to be a part of that. Finally, anyone who has “dog” in them...would want to play for Patrick. I know I would.

From the highlights, I'm loving how Jordan goes up to throw down everything near the rim. I love seeing him go up hard and try to dunk it all. I want someone that wants to attack at every chance.
It seems like the recent recruits Pat is getting have that attacking aggressive attitude that match Pat's attitude. A team of dogs like that are going to do a lot more damage than people anticipate.

As regards the Basketball program and its resurgence under Patrick, I am reminded of a favorite Dylan lyric: “he who ain’t busy being born is busy dying...”
The program is in need of a renaissance. Patrick is busy reviving the program he made famous. I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Busy, yes, but this is an extended hot stove league where, absent some actual play, we are relying on video highlights and hopes for a better tomorrow. Until these kids play together, we don't know if there is a team that can play Ewing's style of basketball or merely a collection of individual talent much like St. John's throws together every year.

I get the reluctance and worry about things changing. What I'm less comfortable with is questioning a young man's conviction/integrity. Sure, he could change his mind. But it's not as though it's the norm that kids change their decision. There's been no indication that Jordan is anything less than excited as hell to be a Hoya and we should be excited as hell to have him. There's no reason to worry about things over which you have no control. Jordan is a Hoya. And, that's a good thing.
