Wonder if he knows about He Who Must Not be Named and his Minions on this board who have been using disinformation to try to get rid of the Thompsons/Ewing for the last 10 years. I mean day one when Ewing became coach they wanted him gone. Disinformation? Seems like everything the critics have been saying and predicting have been 100% true. So they were prescient?

I think we are way, way past worrying about which players do/do not return. If Ewing stays - virtually nobody will return. What possible reason would they have for participating in a third straight disaster season, which is what would surely happen if ewing returns - pretty much regardless of the roster.
If Ewing leaves - with the free transfer rule, many players leave when their coach leaves. Especially for a program that is a complete mess. I would be surprised if more than a couple of players return to Georgetown next year, no matter who the coach is.
Nothing that happens the rest of this season really matters with regard to next season and beyond, except for a decision on Ewing/Ronnie's continued employment.

Akok, Heath, Ezewiro, Anglin, Mutombo, Bristol and Bass are all staying in my opinion.

Kid 100% deserves better. Ewing would rather run his transfer 5 into the ground than use his bench at all.

Kid also deserves 100% better than this obnoxious attempt (by his father?) to impose the old man's ego on his son's career. How many us wanted our old man to run our business when we were 19?

I read it more as trying to keep his son's spirits up despite a seemingly completely unjustified benching by an absolutely clueless coach.

I normally would agree with you, but I read this one as just trying to keep his confidence up. I know I would definitely be having a crisis of confidence if my playing time was haphazard, could play 2 min and get pulled immediately for the whole game, and have no idea if I'm even going to see the floor game to game. The only way to succeed in the limited run is to know you're capable, and it basically has to be an internal belief because the coaching staff isn't really allowing the bench to work their way through issues and give them confidence or show trust.

I have to believe that Zo & Dikembe question selfishly steering their kids to GU. Probably would have seen more time elsewhere and had a better overall experience. No fun to sit all the time.

Couldn’t you just call him rather than publicize it to the Thomson/Ewing hating Locust Club?

Not sure Trey Mourning had all that many great options out of high school - I don't remember him being considered a top recruit. Ryan Mutombo was a legit 4-star kid primarily based on playing well in AAU settings prior to his senior year. He certainly had options outside of Georgetown, but from a recruiting standpoint, I think most people involved knew he was heading to Georgetown, so it wasn't worth other schools' time to go hard after him.

I want Riley and every other kid on this team to stay and be an active part of this program. I see talent on this roster that should be producing much better results than we have seen. I do not believe that Ewing will be the coach next year, and it seems to me that Riley and every other kid on this team would do well to see who comes next before making any decision to leave the program. This kid has talent. He needs a lot of development on the offensive end, but that was true of many key and important contributing players during the heyday of Hoya hoops, particularly those who play with the intensity of Riley on the defensive end of the court. Not going to interpret the comments of the father. I was one of those fathers with three of my kids who were in college sports. Thank God I did not have social media to embarrass myself during their first season when they had to wait for significant playing time. But I understand the frustration of this parent. I hope that things change and that Riley gets an opportunity to show the talent he has flashed in his brief appearances this season. Ditto for Ryan, Anglin, Bristol and Bass.

Yes - I used to be the parent yelling in the stands a the coaches and the refs (can't believe I did that). Now today's parent are yelling in cyber space. I can't imagine having young children in this era of social media. If you don't ignore and have to respond you are in trouble. Oh I know this is a Rily post but we should have stayed patient against SU. We started forcing the ball over the top and did not have to. Go Hoyas - please win some BE games and let Mr. Riley showcase his skills.
