Ridiculous. How awesome.
I was at a Wizards game where Michael snatched a ball off the backboard in similar fashion. Predatory defense. Love it.

This young man is the Future of the program! I predict that he will be the best guard @ GU since Allen Iverson.

It's tough not to look ahead - to the rest of the '21 class & to the 21-22 season. There are certainly some reasons to be hopeful. Riley may be #1 on that list.
Not giving up on this year - I'll be watching every minute. But it's tough to get too excited about a zombie season with lots of new & temporary faces.

You implied there are lots of temporary faces, they clarified that there are only two. What was the point of your response to their response?

honest question - what is the point of this response? You implied there are lots of temporary faces, they clarified that there are only two. What was the point of your response to their response? Because... there are a lot of new and temporary faces - 8 total. I didn't imply anything. I STATED that. If you want to break that apart - yes, there are two 1-year grad xfers. Who doesn't know this? (that's still a big number, especially when you consider they're both projected contributors/starters and there's another temp guy who's only gonna be here 2 years tops... and our two leading scorers are seniors, etc...) BUT I'M NOT EVEN ARGUING THAT. Is the response enlighten me with this revelation? Or is it that I SHOULD be excited b/c there are only 2 "temporary" guys? Honestly -- we're picked 11th in the conference, we've got 3 average grad xfers coming in to join a shell of a returning roster, and our largest class of SRDs in years. You want to make the argument that you're just as optimistic about that group as you are for the group (however it ends up being comprised) the year after and going forward? Fine. Just keep the pedantic (and incorrect) Editedry in your pocket. Once in a while, assume the poster you're responding to has an ounce of an idea what's going on with the program.

You really don’t like criticism do you? Putting this much effort into a minor point that you got unnecessarily defensive about to begin with is peak hoyatalk.

If you don't care about the conversation, fine. Just don't jump into it, ask me a question, get a response, and shout TRIGGERED - unless you're 11. The whole point of this nonsense was that I'm excited about the '21-'22 season and beyond -- even more than this year. Which I assumed was a nearly universal feeling around here -- despite a couple of pie-in-the-sky writeups about how each '20 FR is a "diamond in the rough". Like lots of commentary (and this is my HoyaTalk peeve), it didn't demand needless clarification, mindless nay-saying or a devil's advocate response. I was honestly trying to figure out whether this was any of those, or the beginning of an actual debate. So again -- I hope we have basketball this year, but I'm more optimistic and excited about what's in store for the team after that. And that's where I'll leave this.

Why is it that this kid is already my favorite Hoya and I haven’t even seen him score a single bucket?

Is it an overstatement to say the 2021-2022 team might be the most athletic squad we have had in years? Not even sure how many JT3 squads would stack up with it, though to be fair he wasn't exactly prioritizing jump out the gym guys.
