Growing up no the Wes. I was a Hoya fan from that '82 to '83 season onward. I ended up going to grad school there and arrived when Iverson did, which was amazing. Wow what great timing It was amazing to watch up close.

Undergrad and grad school I focussed on the programs and learning environment, more than sports (I rowed for my first year undergrad and our training facility schedule and meal times were in sync with the basketball team, who I would help run drills our of official traininng season windows when coaches couldn't be involved nor team managers - that team went to The Dance the year after I graduated with freshmen I came in with - I transferred in)).

He was DC Finest, which rolled under 6th Man, then New World, but then lost track of him two years ago during the school year and basically no travel tournaments last year. Malik has often followed Doug as he has Malik play out, which is a really tough match-up for opposing teams.

There is a lot to like about a player who possesses size, skill and positional versatility. At the Big Shots Boo Williams Tip Off, 6-foot-8 prospect Mailk Bowman of Bishop Walsh (Md.) showed he possesses all of these tools - and more. “I can play the one through the five on the floor," the 2023 prospect said. "I can run the team, bring the ball up the floor or I can go on the block, block some shots, rebound - do whatever you need me to do on the floor, really.” College programs have taken notice of Bowman's unique style. “I have offers from Seton Hall, San Diego State, Georgetown, West Virginia, Virginia Tech," he said. "I would say we are hearing the most from Georgetown and Seton Hall right now.” Georgetown: “Georgetown is where my hometown is, D.C. They have been contacting my coach and my granddad a lot. I grew up knowing about them and what they are doing.” “Growing up in the DMV, I did grow up a fan of Maryland. I wouldn’t call them a dream scenario or anything, but they are most definitely a school I want to hear from.” basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/malik-bowman-is-loaded-with-tools-collecting-offers

Never got my hopes up on landing Malik but it would've been nice. Will never blame a kid for choosing to get paid.
