The remainder of the indoor season (i.e., the NCAA) and the outdoor season has been canceled. Georgetown has canceled classes as well as the indoor and outdoor seasons, they are requesting everyone return home.

Such a shame for these kids as track and cross country athletes work year round and train as hard or harder than any other sport, with little to no recognition. As we continue to watch Hoya basketball flounder, not many Hoya fans realize what an outstanding tradition the Hoyas have developed in middle and long distance running.

Calhoya, you hit the nail right on the head! As an example of what a Division I track athlete goes through, I would direct you to Spencer Brown's Athlete Special. Spencer had one last season of eligibility that he has given up. He has started a business associated with the Athlete Special, which was initiated right after he gave up being an NCAA athlete. He is still working out during this time as you would see if you followed some of his recent videos. www.youtube.com/channel/UCTVjyeSlm3sR3N1fx-NI-Kw

Does track still issue traditional awards such as the Gallagher and Bunn awards?

Does track still issue traditional awards such as the Gallagher and Bunn awards? I haven't heard about those awards in years. Maybe they do award those, but they haven't been getting any publicity.

Maegan's story of what could have been. 4:42 in the mile in HS would have boded well for her career at Georgetown.
Also interesting in the article: Doody doesn’t feel confident there will be a fall season, either. We haven't heard anything definitely, but it does not look good for XC this year.
