Frankie explicitly said he’s not reclassifying on his IG last night. Might be some shuffling to determine who’s in the final ten, hence the delay, but there’s definitely no chance we see him in a Hoya uniform next season.

Something came up, like, Mac transferred, and maybe I reclassify to 2020 and come in next year to run the show??? or Something came up, like, Mac transferred, dumpster fire at Georgetown, and I need to find a new tenth. Hahahah man the former just gained a lot of traction with that tweet

These types of delays seem to usually relate to the person who was making the graphic for him stalling a little. Doubt it's McClung-related.

Maybe has to change the entire plot of the announcement video!

Just an idea regarding rationale about reclassification which may not be pertinent here: there may not be high school seasons either. A college program may be able to provide better support/training than shuttered high school programs and AAU can.

If college is remote, how is a college in Washington, DC going to provide you with better training than your local HS?

One would hope that college trainers have greater knowledge and more advanced techniques than most high schools. So if both trainers are operating remotely, you would get more from the college trainer.

I think we can pretty much bid adieu to our chances with Mr. Collins...

If he really wanted to be a Hoya, he'd likely have committed by now, with the possibility of reclassifying to 2020. Instead, he's adding teams to his consideration list and doing in-depth Zoom calls with recruiters much more accomplished than Patrick Ewing.

We sold him pretty hard, but ultimately I'm guessing he passed on us for 2020 b/c we're expecting a down year and he didn't really get to wrap up his HS career. Both seem pretty significant. But remember - he's not going anywhere else in 2020 either. I really think we're still his #1 choice right now. That's not saying much when his announcement is probably a half year away -- it could certainly change. But if we come out strong in the fall - on the court and the recruiting trail - I think he's ours for '21-'22.

I really doubt someone on Frankie's level would commit to a school on GTown's level 3mths before the start of their senior year....but the fact that Ewing has his ear is a positive....
