Too bad he couldn't transfer within the Big East. That kid can really shoot the ball.

Nice pickup for Butler, Bolden shot 47 of 114(41%) from 3 last season, they’ll need some shooters especially if Tucker doesn’t come back...

I’m cautiously optimistic we’ll beat this expectation, but can’t find any fault in this writer’s analysis.

I am a little surprised by this only because I think Alexander is projected as a second round pick at best in this draft. Maybe he thinks another year will not really help his draft status/position and figures he might as well start making money as soon as possible. Creighton will still be a good team this year, but losing him hurts them because he is really their best all around player.

I’m cautiously optimistic we’ll beat this expectation, but can’t find any fault in this writer’s analysis. I find serious fault with the writer's analysis that UConn is going to come wandering back into the BEast with a depleted roster and take a Top 5 finish. I also think he discounts a lot of program's departing players while over-valuing their newcomers. In fact, I think his analysis sucks through and through, but I am willing to 'agree to disagree' on that and maintain my unbridled, careless optimism.

Not one mention of Morko who is our 2nd best returning player. Having Butler ranked above us is criminal....

All of these pre season projections are just that, projections. So I am not overly concerned about what they are saying and honestly with the uncertainty of the roster for next year I would think the Hoyas would be projected to be in the bottom half of the conference. If they can add a few more pieces that can contribute next year, and other things go their way (Blair and Pickett play with consistency and Mac returns and stays healthy) I think the Hoyas have a decent chance to outperform this ranking, but that is a lot of things that need to go the Hoyas way between now and the start of next season. As much I wish everyone could predict they would compete for the Big East title this year, I don't think that is a reasonable expectation at this point.

It's hard to project us having that much success in the Big East when Pickett is our 2nd best player (not sure who you put as 1 - McClung? Wahab?). I don't mean that as a knock against Pickett, but he didn't have a great season, despite some decent games at the end. He's improved on the defensive end, but he has largely been stagnant on offense and been inefficient for 3 years. I would be happy to be wrong, if Pickett makes a big jump for senior year, but I think it's more likely we get more of what we have gotten the last 3 years.

It'll be fun to play WVU again. Their style should match up well with what Pat tries to do.

I sure hope that there is a gate for all sports next year. Maybe by November things will have calmed down enough to play before empty arenas but I'm not betting on it. Way too much to learn about this virus and way too little coordinated government response to think things will be resolved enough to allow for mass gatherings. Maybe if we play all our games in Georgia or Florida...

I didn't really read through the little blurbs for every team, just a select few. As of now, the only thing I can disagree with is I think Jordan Tucker returns and Butler should be higher, because of that. He seems to think Tucker leaves and if he does, that's probably the spot for them. But at 10, I can't be shocked. It makes sense. This team desperately needs another scorer. And with how our defense has been, who's to say it's going to improve? 10 makes sense. I can't argue it at all. It's sad, but if this is the team on day one of the season (which I don't think it is) then it could get very ugly.

19K students? Are all these student populations inclusive of grad students?

19K students? Are all these student populations inclusive of grad students? I checked about half of them on Google and yes, they are all inclusive of grad students.
