Ewing must be higher on Kobe and Kerwin. That is the only reason I could see for why this kid doesn't have an offer....maybe it comes this weekend...it would be nice to get some wings to go with our bigs and guards....🤷🏾♂️

As for Kobe, offer him and Murray, whoever pops first gets the spot. If one pops, keep the other in a holding pattern until you know about Kerwin. If we can’t take all 3 that is. Plenty of space and PT to go around

For the people who thought Ewing would not understand or be willing to put in the work to recruit at the college level, this quote seems to put that to rest. He understands what is required from him if he is going to build the program and is putting in the work. I hope it starts paying the dividends he is looking for soon. Great work Coach!!!

It didn't take long for national pundits to take notice, obviously, we'll see where his recruitment goes from here... My hope is that Gtown goes at him very hard, I'm not trying to make the kid out to be some savior or anything like that but I do think in time he'll be a nice contributor in college...

Part of the sale may the lack of an immediate offer...it is both art and science...I am proud of Coach Ewing and believe that his efforts will pay off over time.

Brandon Murray is a grown man. Kobe's is the best all around talent and Kerwin is the best pure shooter. Which one do you take? I'd take the grown man who also happens to be enormously strong, a great outside shooter, a powerful dunker and a really cool guy. He's got a terrific, humble personality and that always projects on to the program.

He's going to turn out way, way better than his ranking IMO.

I would have thought Kerwin would get that title...I don't follow recruiting that closely so I'm not doubting...I don't know why Ewing doesn't go all out on Kobe and Brandon....unless he made an instant connection with Kerwin I don't see him as a realistic target....

Who are all these folks posting about Murray? We should check to see when they joined Hoya talk, I suspect they are his family members.
Are the recruiting/ranking services that off? We are talking about a kid from Bmore, right?

Are the recruiting/ranking services that off? Usually the answer to that question is yes. Outside of the top 10 of a class, they're not that good.

We are talking about a kid from Bmore, right? There are at least two full game tapes(one against IMG academy) plus long clips of actual gameplay in this thread that has allowed folks to form opinions on the kid... Check it out for yourself, no need to rely on recruiting services...

Nothing new on this young man? Maybe the interest was created by this board, but it seemed like the Hoyas and Murray might have some interest in each other and then everything just went quiet!!

Don't expect to hear much. Their last regular season game was Feb 11. They don't play again until next Tuesday in the City Championships.

Let's turn the heat up on Murray now! I wish that's what would happen, as I'd love to add Murray and then close this class out (to high schoolers, not transfers/grad transfers). Unfortunately I think it's probably more likely that the staff viewed both Murray and Clark as swingmen and thus redundant. The lack of offer to Murray was a function of Clark being prioritized higher for the same scholarship. Hope I'm wrong as I'd love to have both. We shall see in the next couple weeks. If we don't show up at any Poly games, safe to assume the ship has sailed on this one.

PE stated in a recent interview that he was looking for shooters, as much as I like what he has done so far especially in Beard & Clark, the staff hasn't landed a legit shooter as of yet... You're right though we'll see what happens over the next few weeks...
