A person identified as a student filed for, and received, a Temporary Restraining Order against Josh and Galen Alexander in DC Superior Court. The TRO was granted on November 20. In the court paperwork, she alleged Josh stole things from her and had threatened her and her friends. In the TRO application, she noted she filed police reports for burglary and sexual misconduct against him. The DC court case number is 2019 CA 007301 B, Oki v LeBlanc et al., and can be accessed online via the search function at eaccess.dcourts.gov. The site doesn't appear to support linking to specific cases, but I uploaded a copy of the TRO here: imgur.com/a/hYpla6PJust saw this. One question: The TRO was entered against both LeBlanc and Alexander...is Alexander still on the team, or are we about to see another player be removed from the team?

If only RJ Davis knew all the PT he could have now...
In all seriousness, regardless of the reason here, this is a disaster for the program. Something I think sets us back another 5 years and probably will result in a messy end to this Ewing experiment.
Something has been off with this team all year, I just didn't think Akinjo was part of any of it; that's the shocker to me. Kinda takes any enjoyment out of the rest of the year, but we know we'll all be watching no matter what. I have a weird feeling we might play better, but I also have dread that this is headed like that St John's season and we could be 1-17.

I was at the UNC Greensboro game. I had my 18 year old son(who is an Akinjo fan and a high school point guard) with me for his first ever official Georgetown game. To say we were disappointed in his decision making, attitude, and behavior once he was pulled from the game, is an understatement. Omer may have been missing bunnies, but James was flat out hard to watch at times. Worse yet, the when the team was making a run(while James was on the bench) and timeouts were called, he was stand-offish and didnt join the huddles. Once he was put back on the floor, the selfish play continued(hence the final result). I truly wish the young man all the best and it will be difficult to watch Gtown without Josh(as he was my favorite player). Im hoping this is addition by subtraction as I have coached, watched, and played for teams with players that dont buy in....and they have all been unsuccessful. I dont know what the issues are, but I do know that Gtown had too much talent for the product they put on the floor on Saturday.

The actions are bad and are final. The names and bios are removed from the roster. This is horrible for what portended to be a program on the upswing suffering some minor glitches. We are collectively upset. We would love to know why. Who to blame? We are venting our anger.
But do realize that the coaches and the University are the adults in the room. It may be, or may just look to be, that the coaches are to blame. But I suspect they are in no position to talk with regards to the issues at hand, whether they want to or not. Any release by them or the University has to be carefully crafted for CYA reasons.
Yes, this frustrates us as fans. I suspect the only thing we can do that is legit is gather info from sources on campus and share as is proper. That seems fair, but I would hope it is also done with tact.
With the gag rule in play by coaches, university and it looks like players, it is to easy to assess mistaken blame. Regardless of the causative problem I will say I enjoyed watching Akinjo and LeBlanc for two short years, and if they have not done something horrible to taint Georgetown, I wish them well.
Finally, one big DAMN. This season WAS looking up.

Just saw this. One question: The TRO was entered against both LeBlanc and Alexander...is Alexander still on the team, or are we about to see another player be removed from the team? Should this knowledge be shared? A decision was made by all parties and we should move on. I have faith and will always support Georgetown. Peace be with you all.

No, but Pat was either: a. Too much of a disciplinarian and caused the team to implode or b. Gave the players too much of a leash and they ran amok. Either way, it's all on him. [/sarcasm]

Not sure what the logical connection you are making here? I don't think anyone wanted the players to break rules. But regardless of reason, losing two all-league players is good for a program.

So 3 Hoya basketball players were in trouble with the law... all three continued to play. But, our PG was not one of those in trouble.

Nothing is out with Alexander. Does anyone have any idea how he could be in the listed Primary Injunction Order and not be punished? Maybe just a mistake, or more information to come out?

So Akinjo just wanted to leave a sinking ship? He had no legal issues?

So 3 Hoya basketball players were in trouble with the law... all three continued to play. But, our PG was not one of those in trouble. Three? Gardner had a separate request for a temporary restraining order filed against him, DC case 2019 CA 007444. No TRO has yet been granted against him. From the filings from the other case, the plaintiff appears to be a housemate of the other plaintiff. This second case names each of Gardner, LeBlanc (listed as LaBlanc), and Alexander. For the record, James Akinjo's name does not appear in a search of DC court filings.

Also not pleased these players are leaving ( do not know all of the circumstances) connection is many post immediately blames many others. This blame all mentality, whipping up of doom, when the total package is two of the right players away from being a very good team. with this statement there is no assignment of bad people to those that are leaving. just want all the facts.

Looking online, only court records for MG,GA, and JL Could be that there is not a connection between that legal situation and the dismissal/transfer? Seems that way, at least for now. Whatever - This is a complete clusterF.
