So ND, SU and the Wooden Classic (yeah we may get thrashed a couple of times but I don't think Patrick will pull back on this one. Are we committed to any of the conference challenges next season?

Notre Dame is not confirmed. Things can always change before a schedule is released, especially if the staff wants a less challenging schedule.

I get that anything can change, but isn't the press release from Notre Dame as close to a confirmation as we can expect? I mean, the Hoyas were confirmed for the PK80 tournament before things changed. If you're taking the approach that nothing is confirmed until the schedule is released, then there are currently no games on the 2020-2021 schedule.

If you're taking the approach that nothing is confirmed until the schedule is released, then there are currently no games on the 2020-2021 schedule. There are many instances where, for whatever reason, Georgetown has backed out of contracts. Some of it may just be that dates couldn't work or our that TV wasn't coming to the forefront. With the reduction in non-conference games by the UConn addition, something's going to move. One might think Georgetown would be promoting a home game with the Domers to drive ticket interest. Maybe they'll be there, but I won't be altogether surprised if they aren't. Right now, the biggest home game on the non-conference plate is the Big East-Big 12 game, which is likely to be a B12 team that hosted a game last season and will rotate on the road. The choices (Baylor, TCU, K-State, or Iowa State, with Oklahoma State as an unlikely return opponent) aren't driving ticket sales. the Big 12 isn't sending #5 Baylor to play a sub-.500 team to a mid-week game before 7,000 people, which probably leans toward TCU (16-15) or Iowa State (12-19) as candidates.

Sad to realize that the person who runs the front page of what I presume (maybe incorrectly) is our most visible fan site is consistently, and insistently, negative about virtually everything involving the program.

Willard gave an interview to the Jersey reporters and said Baylor was coming to the Rock as part of the Big East/Big 12 Challenge

- The long-lost radio broadcast of the 1970 NIT
- Omer Yurtseven's twitter feed.
If there's something on the front page which gives you indigestion, let's talk. After all, that's what this site is for.

What did he write that is not true? The only thing I see is being negative about our conference challenge opponents, but I can see how the schedulers would put each conference's pre-season 1 vs 1, 2 v 2. etc... to make it more competitive and attractive. That's not negative; it's realistic.

I am talking about the fact that with ZERO evidence he suggests that we might well back out of an agreement with UND that was just very recently announced, and doubles down by trying to claim the agreement has never been confirmed even though it was specifically referred to as a done deal - on a Note Dame website!

I don't know what will happen, but Pat did back out of one agreement (the Nike Tournament). Not sure about others...

You are mistaken. My point was that until Georgetown announces a game, it is subject to change. Whatever the reason Georgetown didn't acknowledge it when ND did is their decision, but in either case, it's not official until it's on a printed schedule somewhere.

Well it's not really official until the players and refs walk out onto the court😉. I have zero doubt this series will take place.

Too many beers on a stay home Saturday - what does "bought by other power conference programs in guarantee games" mean? Bought out of scheduled games? Or offered big guarantees to schedule away games at other power conference teams?

A power conference program taking money to play on the road at another power conference program, as opposed to a home and home arrangement.

Syracuse junior forward Elijah Hughes will remain in the 2020 NBA draft, he told ZAGSBLOG Monday. Stadium’s Jeff Goodman was the first to report the news. Hughes is ranked by ESPN as the No. 48 best available prospect in the 2020 Draft. As a junior last season, Hughes averaged 19.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game in 32 games played. He finished the season as the ACC’s leading scorer and was named to the All-ACC First Team. www.zagsblog.com/2020/04/20/syracuses-elijah-hughes-to-remain-in-nba-draft/
