Lead getting worse with Mac sitting. Just pointing that out to everyone who is blaming Mac today. Definitely not losing only because of him (or even mostly because of him). There the General of the Army!! You tell em rlo! WhERe WoUld tHis tEam HavE bEen ToniGhT wiThoUt tHat sICk LaYup fRoM MaC?!?!

I see nothing in this team right now that gives me confidence that they can turn it around, compete with the big guys, and reinvigorate the fan base. They look unprepared, unready, and at times uninterested. Not a winning combination.
Sometimes you just get the fan support, in the seats, that you deserve.

You are a glutton for punishment, or a masochist, Dan.

We lose Greg and Jessie and replaced them with a defensive point guard, two post up 7 footers, and slashing songs who have little desire to shoot. Couple this with a regression from Blair and Mac, and you have a recipe for some ugly offense. Oh and defense isn’t good either. Maybe the Patrick friendly media will finally have to throw a little cold water on this team if this continues. I know Jessie Govan, but I am wondering Greg Who?? I keep thinking Greg Whittington or Greg Monroe and I know that is incorrect.

I'm not ready to give up on the season yet...but can certainly understand your sentiment. Something is really missing here...there is too much talent on this team to look this poor through the first 3 games. I am holding out hope but I have been doing that for a decade now...

This was abysmal basketball. Ewing better stop the bullcrap of two units, this is not the NBA. You better play your best players. McClung has regressed , completely lost during the game.

Ewing needs to start LeBlanc from the beginning of the game. He brings energy and the team chemistry should be better. Akinjo, McClung, Pickett, LeBlanc and 7

But we just don’t have enough consistent outside shooting. Like last year, there will be a few games where we tear it up, but not enough.

There is more talent on this team then the coaching staff is getting out of them currently.

Akinjo, McClung, Pickett, LeBlanc and 7 Right now McCLung should sit and clear his head. He is forcing everything and I think would benefit from coming in after a few minutes of watching the flow of the game. Mosley, Allen or Gardner could replace him.

But we just don’t have enough consistent outside shooting. I'm not sure I can make that statement based on the lack of any organized offense to reliably get outside shooters good open looks tonight.

I think we would be the same spot even with higher level talent. This quote was echo of what I said last night here "Ohio State taking it to Villanova. Watching the game and noticing Ohio State's coach direct the offense from the sideline is huge contrast to Hoyas coaching in game. Sometimes the coach needs to take on more in game coaching than just leaving it to the players to "make a jump from freshman to sophomores" and figure it out on their own.."

I feel fairly confident in saying if you gave Wright, Willard, McDermott, or Cooley our roster and the product would be different.
I’m not here to bash Patrick, but his grace period is gone in my mind.

Please don't misconstrue my post. I am not giving up on the season. I just have now been reduced to very low expectations...as in an NIT bid would be a pleasant surprise.
