PC getting smoked by Florida. Texas up next then us. Let’s hope they don’t turn it around for a few games.
If we can get a split at PC and SH (no Powell perhaps?) and even possibly go 2-0 this would be a massive start given how this looked like 0-2 back in October.

Man does PC stink right now, they can't hit easy layups forget about threes... Smh... They’ve gotta have some kind of major team chemistry/conflict issue going on. Cooley’s molded groups of players with far less talent into teams that are light years more competitive than what they have on the court at the moment. |

They will be small obviously but they're loaded on the perimeter plus Mintz hasn't played at all this year... |

Cooley is overrated as a coach. Probably the worst head coach in the Big East. Providence should be embarrassed.

Cooley isn’t a bad coach - I think he is solid. Get that they are having down years....but always thought he was solid.

Don't you know the board rules? You have to think Cooley is the best coach in the BE, and wish that we hired him instead of Ewing. OR, you have to think that is overrated and his team is garbage. You're not allowed to think he's "solid."

Providence is terrible this year. And Cooley should be held responsible for that. All that being said, from 1997 to 2011, Providence made the NCAA tournament 3 times over 15 years. From 2011 to 2019, in eight seasons, Cooley has gotten Providence to the tournament 5 times. Given the absolutely dismal state of affairs pre-Cooley, it's hard to say the guy hasn't done a lot for the school. Yes, last year the team was not great, and they look to be in for a rough season this year, but when you aren't in a position to hire a great coach as a replacement (and Providence is not), you don't fire a coach because of two bad years. |

It might also be noted that had certain events not occurred recently, most of the board would be proclaiming Ewing the worst coach in the BE. Sometimes you just don't have good chemistry and there is nothing the coach can do. Cooley more than proved he is able to coach (just ask JTIII after every time he got schooled by Cooley). He might not be Tony Bennett, but the current state of affairs in Provy notwithstanding, he's no slouch either.
