Gotta love a kid who tweets this: Now if he could only transfer some of that edge to all of his teammates!

I believe Harris is going to surprise a lot of us, kid has game. Interesting to see the quality of competition Dante played against vs Holloway's competition in LA which was really poor.

I hope that there is some tape out there showing that this kid can shoot from deep. Every shot in the video above is either on a drive to the basket or inside 6-7 feet.we learned already from Akinjo that small guards do not fare well driving into the lane in BE play.

Some of the earlier video clips in this thread show Dante draining threes and midrange jumpers...

What Akinjo showed was that he was not very good at that particular thing, his skills, and he has many are floor level skills. There is video evidence that shows Harris's has the potential to be a good shooter and there's evidence that shows quickness, speed and elevation, we'll have to wait and see if he can be as effective as Akinjo.

I hope that there is some tape out there showing that this kid can shoot from deep. Plenty of tape of him shooting from long range... He might be the best shooter of the 8 newcomers. If I'm right (and I'll admit I was wrong about high school seniors Reggie and Domingo, so take it with a grain of salt), he'll get his pt. Every shot in the video above is either on a drive to the basket or inside 6-7 feet. I like how he is not afraid to take it inside against that tall (maybe 6'8"?) player, makes his shots and frustrates the tall C. we learned already from Akinjo that small guards do not fare well driving into the lane in BE play. Akinjo is not a good example of how small guards fare driving into the lane in BE play. First of all, at 6'1", Akinjo is probably an average-sized BE PG. We've seen plenty of small PGs succeed in the BE. From what we saw, Akinjo has no food speed and no hops. His elite skill is dribbling, which he uses to drive the lane. His problem is he didn't use his elite skill to drive into the lane and dish consistently because he wanted to be the man. Opponents just had to hold their ground and not bite to stop him from scoring inside. As a sophomore, he became a marked man and became less efficient. Allegedly, Dante has elite speed and good hops for his size. In that video, you can see him take it inside against a tall player and have the technique and speed to finish inside. With his perimeter skills, speed and ability to finish, he'll be able to keep his opponents honest.

Expecting Berger’s shot to be one of the purest we’ve seen in a Hoya uniform.

Hope you're right (I don't want to jinx them like with Reggie and Domingo) because then it will get really interesting when the Dante, Berger, (insert one of Blair/Clark/Sibley/Bile), Pickett and Qudus line-up is on the floor.

Blue #3 From Dec. 2019 Same Game: Dante Harris finished with 48 pts! Dante Harris has a great handle, shake, foot speed and elevation on his jumper and in the lane. I really like his potential as a shot creator for his teammates & himself.

Wow he's an impressive athlete for his size, clearly better than Akinjo and from the looks of things faster and possibly a better shooter. They both share a certain fearlessness to their games however. Athleticism, speed and confidence are facts that aren't measured by competition level either you possess them or you don't, their individual shooting abilities are debatable. The comparisons I know sound like sour grapes given the situation but it's not, there's just a natural tendency to compare them. I believe the only thing that keeps him from the starting line up is experience, the one thing you can't improve through practice. Coach it appears knows this. By year two it's not a stretch to say he's our starter at the point (with respect to the competition from Beard and Berger for the spot) however it wouldn't surprise me if it happened sooner.

I'm excited for this kid. I like his heart and he seems to be underrated. I love that he committed early and has backed the Gtown brand and school since the start. I'll be rooting hard for him. But that video didn't show otherworldly athleticism or that he'll be better than our former BE Rookie of the Year. I knocked Akinjo pretty hard when he played with us for playing selfish and really didn't like how he left us. But he proved his talent in BE competition. Let's keep expectations in line for Harris til he gets on the court for us. Then I'll be happy to go hype mode with you if he does.

He appears in these videos to be a better/stronger athlete than I recalled when he first committed. Must be working and training hard to get ready for the jump to college. He does have a really smooth, effortless jump shot.

Also, with the quality of his perimeter shot (don’t want to jinx him), he can slide to the 2 on offense and play 1 on defense.

I been telling people about Dante Harris since he signed nobody would listen to me. He is better then James Akinjo right now. He would take Akinjo right now.he is more athletic shoots the 3 better and is a great defensive player and quicker. He is best point guard in Tennessee easily way underrated we have a top 50 recruit right here look out. Go Hoyas.

I believe that Tyler Beard is the best point guard of the bunch and I really don't believe Berger is a PG. What I am certain of is that Beard and Harris are explosive athletes but are on the smallish side, definitely more athletic than Akinjo but that doesn't make them better. This is obviously the most important recruiting class for Coach Ewing (understatement) and I believe they will define his tenure, I believe in a very positive manner.
