2023 Jahn Lamothe sets June visits Georgetown (June 15)- “The relationship with Georgetown is definitely getting better since they offered me. I’ve had the chance to speak with them and they’ve also reached out to my AAU coaches like Coach Wayne [Pratt] and Dwayne Wise. Coach Akbar [Waheed] has been reaching out to my mom a lot just telling her that the coaching staff loves my game and that the head coach Patrick Ewing feels like I can fit in with their style of play. www.prephoops.com/2021/06/2023-jahn-lamothe-sets-june-visits/

I am sure my name gives it away but I am from MA, outside of Boston. Anyone familiar w/the area may recognize a smallish local paper telegram and gazette.
They are reporting Gtown, Davidson and Wake Forest were all in Thursday at 6AM for a private workout for TJ Powers of Worcester Academy. He is a 6'8" 210 pound forward. Ranked #51 by ESPN. It stated Gtown has offered. Smart kid offers from Harvard and BC recently as well.
I have a buddy closer to the local sports scene, he said it was Ewing in attendance for the workout.

I know he attends Worcester Academy...is he native to the Boston area?...sounds like he has the academic side taken care of in order to reclassify...it would be exciting if staff can get him on campus and he's willing to reclassify...very attractive recruit either way but especially so for '22...

Is he the one who can reclassify to 2022? I don't know anything about Powers as a player (other than that Georgetown just recently offered him) or his academic standing. I do know that Worcester Academy is a prep school with a really strong basketball program, so he very well may be doing an extra year of high school at Worcester Academy and might be able to reclassify if that worked for him and the program.

I spent a little time on YouTube watching TJ highlight videos. He looks to be an interesting prospect. He certainly fills a position of need.

amp.telegram.com/amp/5875347001Tj Power can reclassify as he already repeated sophomore year so he is a normal age to graduate if he wanted to this year. According to the post he will do the necessary paper work to keep graduating early on the table (which would be great for us) and is waiting for the right program and situation... should go hard for this guy, can apparently score on every level, get double doubles against good competition (also likes academics got offers from brown and Harvard so hopefully we got a leg up considering we can give a scholarship) and who knows how Jbill will be and if King stays another year (which I kind of doubt he will) so def a position of need and any remaining schollie spot can be used on a good transfer if need be

Sean Stewart was a surefire revelation for me on Sunday morning. He is a 6-foot-7 combo-forward with an evolving mid-range game who shows terrific activity on the defensive end. If you asked me, Stewart won the Sunday morning head-to-head matchup as he sought out ways to impact the game outside of his offensive production. His effort in protecting the rim and hitting the glass was eye-opening. Couple that with his early skill set offensively, and he has the upside to be a productive and versatile option at the high major level. He will need to continue to work on the fundamentals and his overall skill level to reach that potential. Stewart currently has been offered by the coaching staffs at Arizona State, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Stanford, Stetson, and Texas A&M. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/LongFormArticle/GBCA-Live-Ernest-Udeh-Bruce-Thornton-Kanaan-Carlyle-Isaiah-Collier-Sean-Stewart-Chauncey-Wiggins-Jaylon-Taylor-Gai-Chol-Jakai-Newton-Marcus-Whitlock-166802900/#166802900_5One prospect that has been building a reputation and caught 247Sports' eye this summer was Sean Stewart and on Saturday, he exceeded expectations. The 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward out of Orlando (Fla.) Windermere was outstanding in the first game of the weekend. His size, versatility and athleticism shined as he battled on the glass, ran in transition, defended, scored off the bounce and made multiple mid-range pull-up jumpers. Stewart is currently unranked in the 2023 Rankings but that will not be the case for long. 247Sports will keep an eye on him today but yesterday he played every bit like a Top 40 prospect in the class. Recruitment: Stewart holds offers from Arizona State, Alabama, Call, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas and Stanford amongst others. --Travis Branham 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/LongFormArticle/Wootten-Top150-Camp-Saturday-Top-Performers-JJ-Starling-Xavier-Edmonds-Austin-Parks-Sean-Stewart-Tyler-Tybo-Bailey-172252159/#172252159_4

MANSFIELD, TX -- Of the more than 100 players at the Wootten Top150 Camp, arguably none helped their stock more than 2023 forward Sean Stewart. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound prospect out of Windermere (Fla.) is versatile, athletic, plays with a high motor and makes for a multi-positional defender, an impressive rebounder and shot-blocker who can face-up and score on the offensive end. Since May, Stewart has seen his stock skyrocket landing offers from programs like Stanford, Penn State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Cal, Georgia Tech and most recently Ohio State. "It's been really good," Stewart said of his recruiting process. "I got to meet a lot of new people, talk to a lot of different people. I'd say Stanford and Georgetown and Florida are on me the hardest." 247sports.com/Article/Sean-Stewart-recruiting-update-Stanford-Georgetown-Florida-172559972/

That being said, both Kwame Evans Jr. and Mackenzie Mgbako who check in at No. 2 and No. 3 in the updated ranking are hot on his heels. A product of Baltimore who has transferred to loaded Montverde (Fla.) Academy for his junior season, Evans could be the most naturally gifted player in the class. Pushing 6-foot-10 at this point, he’s a skilled combo forward who can shoot with range, cover ridiculous ground on defense and he’s just scratching the surface. He’s also inconsistent. If he’s able to figure it all out, it may be tough to deny his claim to the No. 1 spot. Auburn, George Washington (where his father is a hall of famer) Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and USC are just a few of the 20 plus programs who have already offered scholarships. 247sports.com/Article/Dajuan-Wagner-Jr-holds-on-to-the-No-1-spot-in-the-updated-2023-rankings-173005099/
