Anybody else find it snicker-worthy that our “tennis” program, despite the scandal, has boasted a perfect academic performance over the last several seasons? Maybe the admissions department should consider hiring Coach Crooked as a consultant given that his clients absolutely outperformed the standard GU athlete and student relative to retention and eligibility.

Not sure how it works at GU Smokey, but at many of the schools involved the kids never played the sport at all. Never had. Never did. Were not on the teams. They only needed the favor to gain admittance. My guess is those APR scores were calculated based on kids who were actually on those teams.

And some of the real players were exceptional students since their admissions slot went to the faux players.

How is this related to Georgetown hoops again? It's not. Sorry, I was just having some fun. Hoops season is an eternity away.

And some of the real players were exceptional students since their admissions slot went to the faux players. I interviewed a tennis player for Georgetown. She was obviously a very talented player, ranked 1st in Las Vegas. I believe she is now in law school. Definitely a real student and a real tennis player (#1 at GU during her senior year at least).
