No positional conflict w Davis and Collier says "I think we will have the players" to make something special happen.... If we lose out to Pitt, it will be because of immediately, obviously available PT. We are already guard rich and, like Cole before him, he may go somewhere where instant PT is guaranteed. So be it. Much as I like the guy and see how we could "find the time," he is not the only fish in the sea and our hold is already quite full of fish his size.

I was posting because people were speculating Capel's tweet was about Davis.

Staff needs to continue to stay the course and continue their pursuit of Davis. They should also pursue other options.

Pitt is in a great spot with RJ Davis. The Panthers were the slight favorite going into his visit over the weekend and by all accounts, his trip went great. He is expected to take an official visit to Marquette this weekend and finish things out at North Carolina next month. By mid-October, he will have visited all four of his finalists with the last member, Georgetown, being a place that he saw a few weeks ago. Davis will take his recruitment through the middle of next month and visit UNC, that is unless they can strike in the backcourt with someone in the mold of Caleb Love, though the Tar Heels would love to have both. Pitt fans might feel a little anxious if Davis were to commit over a month after visiting, but he will end up at Pitt. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/twitter-tuesday-unc-s-class-cade-cunningham-more

It’s rare that “gurus” favor Georgetown, it just doesn’t generate clicks or subscriptions. We may not land RJ, but we will somehow end up with a great lead guard.

Don't be surprised if AJ Hoggard commits to Marquette before RJ Davis takes his trip this weekend. Hearing his visit last week went very very well.
If not before, maybe shortly after. He's completed all his visits and a decision is coming...

I think this is a really good sign....last week it was Pitt....tells me they don't know...as long as he doesn't commit before coming back to GTown....

I hope we pull him in! I don't want a second choice, on the rebound, but rather the one we have put time, energy and resources into. We need to close the deal! This is sales.... What will it take besides being patient? Can we get Allen Iverson to show up for Midnight Madness?🙃

Do I read this right that RJ should effectively be down to Pitt, Marquette, and GU?

How should we feel that RJ’s father liked this tweet?

I would think it would be easier to see his son play live in the BE versus the ACC.

How should we feel that RJ’s father liked this tweet? It is supportive of his son. Otherwise, I don’t think this means too much.
