Antwaan Randle El? The same one I'm thinking of? Hilarious - I had the same reaction. This is a great pickup for PE. Always love 4-star players, and am glad he's come to learn from the best at Big Man U. The infusion of talent has been noticeable. I know everyone wants Rome (re)built in a day, but we're making strides, and players like we're bringing in are really going to contribute to building a lasting model, not just a flash in the pan.

Great grab, cant expect to keep guys 4 years so I'm happy Pat is stockpiling bigs. If they have the work ethic to develop then theyll have a great Hoya career.

Exciting commitment. I've said before that I like what Ewing in recruiting in the frontcourt, especially from a defensive lens.
Wahab is 6'10"-6'11", but he has very long arms; I've seen them listed as 7'4", which is a big reason why he's a strong shotblocker. He's not necessarily a monster athlete, but he's a pretty good one.
But the thing that has me most exciting is that a high motor is listed as one of his assets. I LOVE that Patrick seems to be recruiting people based on on-court and off-court work ethic. JT3 had those guys early and they helped defined a culture that led to overacheivement. Later on, while I'm sure some players had that trait, it wasn't enough. Or as one former player mentioned to me at Providence a few years ago after a failed comeback, paraphrasing, there's no get-at-it, dog on this team. And there wasn't.
Mac, Akinjo, LeBlanc definitely have it (and Carter may, too, we will see). Wahab is supposed to have that now.

This is really cool. That’s what being part of a team is all about. And surely can't hurt with respect to recruiting in the DMV.

This is really cool. That’s what being part of a team is all about. That team deserves to win their state basketball championship.

Such a cool thing to do with his teammates!!
Last time we won a recruiting battle that involved Syracuse it was for Jessie Govan. This time its Wahab. This young man is going to bring it!!
