So, UVA v. Auburn. Tony Bennett v. Bruce Pearl. Not a tough decision for me. Pearl's Jesuit education notwithstanding.

Virginia was my preseason pick to cut down the nets. Was worried about them getting past the fist weekend because of possible lingering doubt based upon last year. Almost all of their games have been tight and they've gotten lucky but they made it to the Final Four nonetheless which is such a big step forward for them that they can play free and loose next weekend. What a game that was! Carsen Edwards. Stud! Where was he ranked coming out of high school? Perhaps one of our freshman guards will be able to "go off" somewhat like that down the road in the NCAA tourney. Lookin at the wrong guard. Akinjo is too much of a facilitator. But the guy who put up 47 in his HS state championship game, and put up 17 in the first half against Nova, is the guy who will put up 40 in a game sometime soon (assuming PE lets him play 30+ minutes). How am I looking at the "wrong guard" when I wrote perhaps one of our freshman guards could have similar results down the road? Doesn't McClung count as one of those freshman guards? Am I missing something?

Is former Bruce Pearl assistant Chuck Person testifying?

“Undersized” guards have been dominating, e.g. Carsen Edwards, Harper. Don’t we have a couple of those “undersized” guards? IMHO, Akinjo should emulate another smallish guard- Cassius Winston. Not physically imposing, but savvy and tough and totally in control.

PE is good guy to teach next year's big man rotation how to close that door if our guards do not.

Zion Williamson is a great player.
That said, it is disgusting to listen to Nantz, Webber, and worst of all Raftery credit everything that happens on the court to his presence.
Enough already.

Not sure anything they’ve said has been wrong though.

(He doesn't have the athleticism, speed and long arms of Harper or the size and strength of Edwards so will have to rely on craftiness and cerebralness.

At the end of the day Duke just wasn't that good. Could of lost every game in the tournament. Just shows that the teams in the ACC were weaker than their ranking appeared.

I just got the 2nd best outcome in a NCAA FF...no Duke no Kentucky....no K no Calishadi....no Royal Blue....if GTown can't make it at least I get to watch without the anxiety of "please somebody beat Duke/Kentucky"....

Those were some high intensity/competitive games in the Sweet Sixteen. The Hoyas have some work to do to get to that level.
Auburn defeats Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky to reach the Final 4.

I think we all enjoy the absence of Duke and North Carolina from the Final Four, but can you imagine the melt down if Bruce Pearl and Auburn win a National Championship? Will Mark Emmert even let them near the trophy?

Is former Bruce Pearl assistant Chuck Person testifying? The Bruce Pearl hate is so stupid. All the players involved on Auburn's side have already sat out their suspensions (Wiley and Purifoy sat out all of last year and Purifoy sat out the first third of this year) for getting funds from an agent before they graduated, not to go to Auburn. Their best players today were undersized, underrecruited guards.
