Refs handing Dook the game - that 5th on Fall was a charge or no call.
Of course, the idiotic attempted lob on the fast break was the real killer.

Got hosed twice....Zion runs over Taylor and Barrett pushes in the back.... Would only have been Zion’s 7th foul.

Got hosed twice....Zion runs over Taylor and Barrett pushes in the back.... Goodness that overhead shot clearly shows Barrett pushing the UCF player in the back and under the basket to get the rebound for the winning shot. SMH

Restricted zone or not, calling a block on a guy standing with his arms straight up is a BS call.

Elvado got it right. The blown 2 on 1 lob . . . a simple layup would have sufficed.

Elvado got it right. The blown 2 on 1 lob . . . a simple layup would have sufficed. Should have pulled the ball out and ran clock. The only way to score was the lob but that is much too risky in that situation....if you pull the ball out with 4 freshmen on the court one would panic and foul....imo

Restricted zone or not, calling a block on a guy standing with his arms straight up is a BS call. That was the worst case scenario. They were up 3 with 21 seconds left. Zion's 2 pter would still have them down 1. But he get's the and 1 (plus fouling Taco out). They would have been better off just giving Zion the free dunk.

UCF's finish sadly felt very Hoya-ish. They literally had about 4-5 things go wrong for that outcome to turn out the way it did.

Even worse is the commentators wouldn't even acknowledge it.....I HATE DUKE!!!! Jim Nantz is unusually deferential to Duke and never questions a call. He doesn't want to end up on the outs like Billy Packer...or even Brent Musberger, for that matter.

Ratings much lower next weekend if UCF playing than Duke. It’s all about the 💰

Had they lost I really wonder if Coach K's one-and-done strategy would be reconsidered. All things being equal, for the talent they've had since the 2010 title, only one Final Four in '15 and the one title (that they were fortunate Wisconsin did their bidding and knocked out undefeated Kentucky), it has not been a good run in the tournament for them.
In my opinion, post 2005 Duke to the present has been a vastly underachieving group in the NCAAs, and Coach K never gets any heat. On the other end of the spectrum I feel Roy Williams is very underrated for what he has been doing. 3 titles and a runner up since being there, with numerous Final Fours. And the one stat I did't realize until this week, he has never lost a first round game in the tournament. That is insane given the parity, the luck, and just the number of opportunities there have been for a loss, yet I believe he's now 25-0.

The failed lob (they make the lob they win) instead of dribbling clock (smarter play). 2. Giving up the and 1 to to Zion (plus Taco fouling out) 3. Zion missing the free throw but they get the rebound and another 2 pts. 4. Missing the game winning lay up 5. Missing the tip in.

2 missed FT’s and all you have to do is put a body on someone, box out on the missed FT and you likely win. Don’t lunge at a ball, play fundamentally sound b-ball. Hopefully Ewing has them watching this.

Refs missed the Delaurier hook and hold on the FT rebound too.
