Nice road win. Best victory of the year... This also tells me that this team can play for a tourney spot this year...

Now SJ has video to get hyped for the BET. Could have lived without that. Oh well. W!

We won a game on the road with a 10 turnover differential. That just can't happen all that often. but also speaks to great offensive efficiency when we actually got shots up.

Nice win! One of these days they’ll figure out how to not give me a heart attack but I’ll take it lol.

Great win by the guys - also helps that Mullin burned all his TOs early and his team is SO undisciplined.

Nice road win. Best victory of the year... This also tells me that this team can play for a tourney spot this year... Need to clean up the careless mistakes. I’m just not sure how Ewing gets this done. When guys sit and think about it for a few plays they come in more focused but revert to old habits in a hurry it seems.

Very nice win. By no means perfect, but Ewing played a smart lineup down the stretch for the most part - a big benefit for the team and a good decision.
McClung was just fantastic. And good game by Pickett.

We won despite all the turnovers, it is amazing. I we still can not run at fastbreak.

That Figeroa 3ptr was probably the difference between GTown being in last place and being in a 4-6 way tie for 3rd...lol

I’m not so sure we proved we can close out games. We just got an opponent who didn’t fully capitalize. Ponds and Simon throwing it away was a key possession.

A good team win. After a couple of dispiriting home losses, the coaching staff and the team deserve a lot of credit for putting their heads down, focusing, and getting a nice win in New York. We can only hope that it's a bit of a turning point that will yield more wins.
Govan and McClung were both outstanding today. It was also nice to see solid efforts from Pickett, Kaleb, and LeBlanc. Days like today definitely show that this team can have a pretty high up-side. It's actually telling that we won the game going away despite struggling in several different areas. We turned the ball over today, a lot. I haven't pulled the final stats yet, but I'm guessing we finished somewhere between 17-20 turnovers. Our defense was better, I suppose, but not great. I didn't think we rebounded all that well, either. St. John's got a lot of second chance points really close to the basket. I would like to see us do a better job cleaning that up.
All in all, it's a testament to this team that they can get a hard-fought win on the road while not playing their best game. It shows me that when we play hard, we do have some talent. This team could still win some games in the Big East given that all of the teams are basically the same outside Villanova and Marquette.
Xavier awaits -- time to win one of these big ones at home again!
