They have a 5'9" SR point guard Chris Clemons that is averaging 31 points a game. Yes 31. With our recent history of small school small guards that's enough to worry me...

I second that one Dan! < 10 turnovers! And keep winning the boards
Also, no one has more experience breaking down film than 15 year NBA assistant coach Ewing. Now he has plenty of footage to show the team, and individual players. Nothing like looking at film to see mistakes and consequences, to help players widen their awareness. See open shooters that were missed in real time. Driving into double and triple teams. rushing shots. Boxing out, or not. We all know the kinds of things that show up. Sitting and watching as a team, as well as one-on-one sessions with key players on what they are doing right, and what needs to be improved.
Now that the team is back from Jamaica, will there be time for it? Despite Thanksgiving, I hope so. 5 games into the season, there is enough there to start the process.

The Clemons kid can really play and finds ways to score. It will be a great test for Akinjo to guard him and for the entire team to provide smart help defense. I saw some of his game last night and he does a good job of getting in the lane and then finding open shooters when the defense does not rotate correctly. The rest of the team is not overly athletic so the Hoyas should be able to impose their will on them.

< 10 turnovers. I insist. I'd settle for <17. Let's put Akinjo on Clemons.

< 10 turnovers. I insist. Agreed. Akinjo is leading the nation in turnovers. It would be great to have that turned over to some other team. Granted, the floor in Jamaica caused two slide travels and lost footing on a pass in the USF game, which would have halved his TOs for that game.

Teams usually practice through Thanksgiving with a team practice and then team meal. The Thanksgiving break is usually good team time as they don't have to worry about school work as much.

But that said, Campbell is actually pretty good at forcing turnovers, so I am not hopeful.

I've said it all year... this is the first real tests for our guards. Clemons is a monster and is the best point guard they will play that isn't Shamorie Ponds, and the best guard aside from Ponds and maybe Battle. Clemons can score in almost any way and averages 38 minutes a game. Not to mention, he averages 31.6 on 20.6 shot attempts. He also averages 2.4 steals a game, and more steals than TO's which are at 2.2. Campbell as a team averages 9 steals a game so if our number is under 10 that would be a huge accomplishment. The rest of their team is absolutely no match for ours, but Clemons is a problem. He can create and will score on our guards. This is the test for Ponds, the whole goal is stopping Clemons.
Also, it's nice not having to watch our guys play in a slippery ballroom.

Will there be 3,500 fans there? Glad that this is the only regular season game I'll make, easier to add to the bobblehead collection when I can go get it myself! I wonder if it's a skateboard Jack, jeep Jack, or normal Jack?

This should be a very interesting, different kind of test. Go to Govan early (we keep starting out with the guards looking to score).

Mac and James seem to be forcing it to start then they let the game come to them and feel much better.

Announcer (Bilas?) in the Duke-Auburn game said that Clemons and the little Auburn guard (Harden?) are the two best guards in the country under 6'...always trap/double team him...don't let him get to the basket...

I wonder if it's a skateboard Jack, jeep Jack, or normal Jack? Jeep Jack! Perfect, I hope he balances on my desk better then skateboard Jack! Now, while I'm excited about getting another bobblehead, I'm more excited to see a Mac bounce back game. He's finally made a 3 and he should be able to shine over an overmatched Campbell team. My ideal game will involve very little effort from Jessie and just a lockdown D performance from James. Let the rest of the team (especially Pickett) carry the O.

Can't wait for Jack Bobblehead! Mac better start making his 3's - it's getting dicey.

I will say I have some concern going into this game. We're really going to need some help defense to step up, because their guard is a lot of fun to watch and can get past the first defender with regularity (I've only watched him a couple of times, but I was impressed). I think you will see some good double-teams/collapsing. If we take care of the ball and feed the post, we should be looking at another one in the win column.

I want to see a strategy to contain him. Make Clemons beat us from 3. He’s 16 of 52 (31%) so far. Have Mac, Jagan, Kaleb and Greg or even Josh follow him in the half-court and James on him bringing up the ball.
