What a bunch of crock. The NCAA gave Todd Bozeman an 8 year ban for recruiting violations (Bozeman got caught paying a player 30K to attend Cal State). Dave Bliss, “paid more than $30,000 in improper benefits to two players and funneled more than $100, 000 from boosters to amateur basketball teams” (USA Today), and he only gets a 10 year “show cause.” Additionally, Bliss told players to lie about the Denheny murder by telling his parents and the press that Denhey was a drug dealer. Are you kidding me? Had Bozeman got caught doing the same things, he would have gotten a lifetime “show cause” from the NCAA………….. Hmm, I wonder why the different treatment...............

And Dwane Casey was just named head coach of the Minn Timberwolves, yet PJ Carlesimo who has a far more extensive and proven track record, languishes as an asst., year after year, through coaching change after coaching change, and never gets another shot. One sent cash to a recruit while at UK. The other was assaulted by a player.
Hmm, I wonder why the different treatment.........
Or maybe we see what we choose to see in situations

Ah oh. Here we go. Race or racism is something you just can't debate or discuss because people cannot be honest or people cannot have a intellectual conversation about it without getting emotional. Race is a four-letter word that riles people up. It will always rile people up because of history. I doubt if race relations will ever get better within the next 3-10 lifetimes because people cannot be upfront with one another or within themselves.

Let's take a step back here. Bozeman also had a "show cause" clause as did Bliss. See paragraph 5 of the article below: "After Bozeman admitted to paying a recruit's family $30,000, the NCAA gave him an unprecedented eight-year "show-cause" ban. Any school interested in hiring Bozeman during the ban needed to present its reasons -- or show cause for the hire -- before an NCAA infractions committee." www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/05/31/AR2005053101457.html

I agree with the above - Americans are understandably very sensitive about race and unless we want a 15 page argument here it might be best to let this drop.
