The GOP = Death Cult Honestly, do they care about the lives of their supporters? It’s a legitimate question, since they are doing everything possible to put people at high risk. And for what, a rally in a safe state? Trump’s narcissism prevents him from considering the interests of others, even if the damage to them is grave and the benefit to him is minimal. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/06/17/trump-pence-dont-care-if-you-get-sick-die/For months, Trump has treated the coronavirus as something distant, a vague threat that would simply evaporate on its own. His base of support has often echoed that sentiment, regularly expressing less concern about contracting the virus. To some extent, that was rational: Coronavirus cases spiked in blue states but were generally more limited in states Trump won in 2016. That’s no longer the case. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/06/17/coronavirus-has-come-trump-country/#comments-wrapper

I wasn't saying that any particular state would surprise me. I'm aware that Obama carried Iowa twice, and it wouldn't surprise me if Biden did so. What would surprise me would be that big a swing in all of those states. I'm not going to let myself drink that Kool Aid until it actually happens.

Democrats are taking the same view on Texas, where Biden is essentially within the margin of error despite no discernible state Democratic party and not a single Democrat elected to statewide office in 26 years. The last time a Democrat held an office in Texas, Sharon Pratt Kelly was mayor of DC. What should they do? Invest money in the nation's second largest state (where campaign ads are a rarity since it's a formality) at the expense of winning a smaller state, or try to pick off a prize which hasn't voted Democratic since 1976 but which would absolutely crater Trump's path to 270? www.texasdemocrats.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/TexasResults.pdf` I think the better question is are the Trump people going to spend money there. Biden just needs to flip Penn, Wisconsin and Michigan and he wins. He's currently up in Florida, Arizona, and North Carolina. He should probably spend resources in those 6 states and possibly Ohio, rather than chase Texas or Georgia. I dunno. I think there’s a difference between chasing TX and GA by focusing resources on it, as opposed to doing those things like sending surrogates, donations from the national party to continue building the foundation, and even targeted social / digital advertising to let voters in those states know that he believes they’re important.

I'm not drinking any Kool Aid but I'm cautiously optimistic. But first, let’s start with what the polls say in battleground states where we have at least three polls in the past six weeks. Together, they mostly present good news for Biden, and perhaps the most notable takeaway here is Biden’s sizable lead in Michigan and Wisconsin. Biden leads in some key battleground states. fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-latest-swing-state-polls-look-good-for-biden/

If Trump, Cruz and Jordan endorsed me for anything, I'd off myself on principle.

COVID-19 is spreading with no treatments or vaccines to combat it.
Benefits for 15 million unemployed Americans are due to expire.
The Russians are paying bounties for the lives of US service personnel.
What upsets so-called, patriotic conservatives?
They are outraged about efforts to remove the graven images of Confederate traitors.
What is wrong with them??!!!
