Good thing there was a camera handy. It is.. That's kind of the point. Hopefully that encourages people to donate their time and money to help others less fortunate during the holidays. Sorry that upsets you...

Not upset at all.
It is nice to see people doing for others. My thoughts are right in line with yours.

“The largest margin of victory in history for either party”.
While votes are still being tallied, Democratic House candidates currently hold an 8,805,130 vote lead over Republicans as of Monday morning. The Democrats' national margin of victory in House contests smashes the previous record of 8.7 million votes in 1974, won just months after President Richard Nixon resigned from office in disgrace amid the Watergate scandal.

Dems are saying that if this holds up, they will have won every Republican House seat that they targeted in California. I don't know if that's totally true, as I thought they also targeted Hunter. Too bad they couldn't get rid of Devin the Clown Nunes.

I think it's worth pointing out that given what many of us know of your family history, we can safely assume that this comment is totally on the level.

It's amazing how easy it is to agree on people doing good for others, especially those in need of a lift. We sure could use more of that sort of thing in every facet of our lives. Well done, Mr. President and Happy Holidays to all.

I agree wholeheartedly... Let’s see if Ms Ocasio-Cortez, who was already carping about needing money for moving expenses and an apartment, feels that way when it is her salary not coming in...

Yes, let's mock her because she's not rich... Do you think legislators should get paid during a government shutdown they are responsible for while Federal Employees do not? I understand you have a massive ----- for her but what she says makes sense to most reasonable people.

Right now, it is not her ox being gored. She should sponsor this exact legislation when she gets sworn in.

That even sounds like something you would say tbh...

I do agree that no one in Congress should be paid during a shutdown. Let’s see if she thinks so come January.
While we are at it, there should be no pensions for Members of Congress or Senators. It would encourage them to serve and get out.
Finally, unused campaign funds should be forfeited, not retained for personal use.

She's got more experience living on less than most in her position. I'm guessing she won't be changing her mind.
