On the role his father will play in his recruitment: “During this process, my dad is really just there to support me no matter decision I make. He’s just there to support me and cheer me on. It’s always going to be love, even if I decide to go to like Syracuse. Mostly the questions I’ve asked him so far are about how to take care of my body at the next level and what to expect with the physicality. My dad was a four-year player at Georgetown, so he obviously has a lot of experience in balancing school and basketball playing on one of the best teams in the country.” Wait, what?

He was a four-year playah at Georgetown. He played on the basketball team for 3 of those years.

I hope Im wrong - but I've never gotten the feeling he has wanted to come to Georgetown. Through no fault of Georgetown I might add. He's a kid who wants to forge his own path - not be in his dad's footsteps. Now maybe the staff ends up convincing him that he can write his own legacy - but it will be an uphill battle imo.

Good for this young man. He seems to be improving his game and getting some national attention. At one point I assumed he may just be a family legacy recruit, but it sounds like he has developed into a really good player. It sounds like the competition he plays in high school is questionable, so I would think this summers AAU season will be the real determining factor for him.

It would be terrific if Ryan decides GU is the place for him. As much as we would all like that, it's his life. If he feels another school would be better for him.. for whatever reason, he is entitled to make his own way. His dad might not be happy at first, but I am sure he'll come around. Good luck to the young man wherever he may land. Still hoping it will be GU but realize he may have other destinations in mind.

We need these young men to see, for themselves, the benefits of coming to Georgetown. Kids want to and need to forge their own way. My daughter knew how much I loved Georgetown basketball; she knew how much it would have meant for her to go to Georgetown; I suggested it--not too subtly--quite a few times. She decided to go to Emory.

He is becoming a real problem! Seems like his ranking and recruiting may shoot up this Spring/Summer.

He isn’t coming to Georgetown or he would have committed he not interested in coming because the Hoyas have not been to ncaa in 4 years,it’s killing recruiting. Need to get better people not exactly the top players but good players that has the right attitude and any signs of repeated instances of getting in trouble stay away like Alexander was red flag 🚩 should stayed away from him to begin with Ewing has to take some blame for bringing him to Georgetown.red flag was there. Get good kids that want to be here and stay away from any red flags players.

If he chooses GU, he fills a BIG need. He's a skilled 4, not a 5.

It is really amazing reading these posts. You wonder if they are actual fans of the program. We aren't getting anyone, We shouldn't recruit 5 star guys, just local. Staff is out recruiting their asses off and it is not good enough for some people. It is different times then the 80's and 90's. All the Ewing bashers who blast him on recruiting, coaching will never be happy. He Has not had their fu team since Mac went down, then Yurt, and the team is still in NCAA hunt. SMH
