It is pouring rain in Ohio so there has been a delay in the meet.

Full results for the men's 1500m:
Points Finals 1 Leverenz, Johnny (JR)Butler4:02.9310 2 Malone, Ben (SR)Villanova4:03.458 3 Brown, Spencer (SO)Georgetown4:03.686 4 Salisbury, Jack (FR)Georgetown4:04.235 5 O'Leary, Michael (JR)Providence4:04.834 6 Bell, Joshua (SO)Georgetown4:05.313 7 Wareham, Nicholas (SO)Georgetown4:05.832 8 Swenson, Zach (JR)Villanova4:06.101 9 Miller, Aric (SR)Marquette4:07.71 10 Garcia, Daniel (SR)Butler4:07.74 11 Rivera, Rey (FR)Georgetown4:09.40
Weird race in the rain. Rey went out fast to the lead and then slowed the race down, presumably to help his kick at the end. The pack remained content at that pace until Miller of Marquette with about 600-700m to go put in a big surge and immediately gained about 20 m on the field. He was in the lead until about 200m to go, when a bunch of runners went by him. Spencer Brown was in the trio that contested for the win. I think the Hoyas should have done better in this race, but they did pick up 16 points. I am not sure what happened to Rey. I hope he didn't pull a muscle in these awful conditions.
Right now the meet is undergoing a 30 minute delay with thunderstorms in the area.

Nice performances by sprinters-a few good ones in our d-md specialties, but not a great yr for Gtwn track overall. Hope/expect a rebound next yr in our traditional strengths; otherwise kind of wonder where the program is going.
