The year the Hoyas have a little more field in this meet. The men will be represented in the LJ, TJ, shotput, and discus, while the women will have one or two entries in the LJ. Again, the men are deep in the 800m, 1500m, 5000m, and 10000m. The women will be strong in the sprints.

Aleta Looker finished 4th in her 1500m heat in 4:32.25 and moves to the final tomorrow. Sad that she was the only women in the 1500m, a big event usually for the Hoyas. Nova got five into the final.

In the men's 400m
Nate Alleyne won his heat in i48.56 and automatically qualified for the final and had the 2nd fastest time of the qualifiers. Quincy Wilsom finished 3rd in the same heat in 49.42, but he did not make the final, because he was beaten in heat three by Kino Cheltenham in 49.41. So two Hoyas go to the final.

So are the men have 0 points and the women have 2 points. The next two events are possibilities to score some points (the 3000mSC and the 10000m).

It looks as if Steeple U does not have any runners in the men's 3000mSC.

Great running so far across the board, Hoyas!
Coaches must be optimistic on the chances for hardware with all the 800/1500 doubles on the men's side (by which I mean, I don't think they'd have all those guys run both if they didn't do the math and think it could be worth it for the team's chances).

The Hoyas mixed it up a bit with the leading 800m runner in the conference, Rey Rivera, running the 1500m and the top 1500m guy, Amos Bartelsmeyer running the 800m. I think this gets these guys ready for Regionals. Plus, Jon Green, the best 10000m runner in the conference by over a minute running the 5000m, also in preparation for Regionals.
The men did not pick up any field events points, while the women picked up two points. I think the men will pick up some points tomorrow in the TJ, shot, and discus.
