I guess transfers are where the NCAA draws the line. Fake classes, hookers and bags of cash are cool.

NCAA is still granting waivers. May not be settled yet. YUP ACCURATE and he has BEST case for a waiver a Moslem who was teased and ridiculed at NC STATE yup good reason to come to the hilltop.

Is there a possibility, granted a remote one, that he could be cleared for January or has that ship sailed?

Is there a possibility, granted a remote one, that he could be cleared for January or has that ship sailed? typically doesn't work that way. Eligibility for transfers are granted at the beginning of the season or near the beginning of the season. I would say there is zero chance but this is the NCAA we are taking about...

Yurt was reported as wearing a medical boot at the game tonight.
Any insight?

At the end of the press conference, PE said he had a sprained ankle and would be fine.

Anyone hear any updates on Omer? I have been looking at mock drafts recently and don’t see his name anywhere. Do we have any reason to believe he won’t be wearing a Hoya jersey next year at this point?

That his plan from the jump was sit one year, play one year, graduate and get drafted.

In fact he could just leave right now if he wanted to and go play in Asia or Europe.

Have to say, Yurt is one of the most exciting recruits. Third team All-ACC as a 19-year old and will be 21 with a couple years not only working with Pat but learning from Jessie. And of course, the team around him matures as well.

He seems to be really engaged in time outs and supportive of the other bigs when they are in and out of the game.

Yeah, and I find it hard to believe that Ewing would burn a scholarship for a year on a guy who would never suit up for us.

He has 2 years of eligibility left but I doubt he uses both.

Given his age, experience and fact that he will earn his undergraduate degree in the Spring of 2020, it is highly likely that Omer forgoes his remaining year of eligibility and enters the 2020 NBA Draft. It's kind of a catch 22, in that it seems the only way he would not depart would be if he wasn't a lock to be a first round pick, and that would imply that his first year playing at Georgetown was not a huge success. So I think the best we can reasonably hope for is that we have a great season next year, go deep in the tourney, and that one of our big men (backing up Omer off the bench) is ready to step in take his place in '21-22 season. And of course that Omer is a lottery pick!
