Has anyone seen this guy (Bynum) play? Is he more talent or does he have a polished game right now?

I have heard that Bynum is a bit doughy and I think if he is the same guy from the McD's game, that seemed to be the case. I think he will get drafted but probably could use two to three years of college at least. I think if he goes to the league, you won't hear from him for at least five years if ever.

I know Bynum was highly recruited but he wasn't really that dominant in high school. He was McDonalds All American, but he wasn't even first team all area here in Central NJ according to the Home News Tribune. His season stats werent particularly impressive, and by most accounts he was not the "go to guy" on his team. Not putting up great stats would be ok if he were playing against top competition all season long, but his high school (St. Joes Metuchen) plays in a division that is generally not too strong and does not produce too many Division I players. My high school used to play St. Joes and I know the biggest guy on our team was 6'4 my senior year (Bynums junior year). Most centers are between 6'4 and 6'6, so I would've thought Bynum would have put up more impressive stats than he did.
Still, he's 7'0 and he's athletic. Local newspapers have had a bunch of reports about his trimming down to a more lean, athletic physique.
He's the ultimate project if an NBA team ends up taking him. He's obviously got a lot of potential, but hes years away IMO. He's the exact sort of person who should head to college for 3 or even 4 years to learn the skills needed to play in the post at the next level. If some NBA GM takes a gamble on him it may end up paying off down the line, but I don't think Bynum is going to really contribute for the duration of his rookie contract.

In other news that effects our scheduled opponents next year - ESPNews is reporting that Dee Brown will be returning to Illisnois.

Pops will be back. Will UMD be the third best team in the Area? Does GMU have anything to say about that?

Well looks like we'll get to see Krauser and the "X" make a return next year. Does this mean it's meaning changes from "repping the Bronx" to Roman Numeral for how many years he's played at Pitt?? ;D
