"The Hoyas went on an early 16-2 run to seize an 18-7 lead and largely controlled play thereafter. They made seven shots in a row in that stretch, and Butler could never make their shooters uncomfortable.

Derrickson (6-of-7) and Dickerson (5-of-5) were practically perfect in the first half. Georgetown shot 60 percent in the first half, building a 44-39 lead, and never relented. Derrickson finished 11-of-13 and Dickerson 7-of-8."

Senior guard Trey Dickerson added 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting as the Hoyas (15-10, 5-9 Big East) won their second straight game after losing six of their previous seven. Junior center Jessie Govan contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots, and freshman guard Jamorko Pickett added 10 points."
