Jamorko rushed. Bad loss! Jagan stupidity, Jess stipidity. Wasted effort, but team is improving. Sigh!!! Disappointing, but not bad.

Frustrating that we were right there and couldn’t get over the hump but there has been definite improvement over the past 2 games. Wish it could’ve ended in a victory.

Yeah, lets put this in a little context people. We took the #6 team in the nation into OT on the road. There has been clear, undeniable improvement over the course of the season from both individual players and the team as a whole. Did we blow a chance for a great win? Absolutely. Frustrating? Sure. But with a few more pieces and continued development from our underclassmen, is this a competitive team next year? Does anyone out there still say no?

At the end of the game, it’s hard for any team to get good looks, but the difference is we can’t put the ball in a guards hands who can create something or get fouled. That’s basically all X did later.

Proud of the team. Not going to criticize anything. Sure Mosley shouldn’t have fouled Bluett but hard to fault his effort. We out played them, shot better, had more assists and more rebounds. But guess what? They are coached on how to draw calls. Not fouls calls. We were called for 12 more fouls than them. Yet it seemed to me they were the more likely to foul. Marcus was murdered all game with very few calls. So I am proud of the way we played and sad the kids didn’t get the win they deserved

I guess I will cop to being a jerk then but at some point moral victories are not enough. This team has no business collapsing at the end of these games. They fought hard, played well and put themselves in a position to win. The kids and the coach deserve credit for that, but it is no different than making a great drive to the basket and not finishing. This is not about talent, this is about composure. They may not be the most talented team on the floor but they have enough talent to make some plays. It would be different if the losses were the result of a fabulous play by the other team rather than mistakes by the Hoyas. My expectations for these kids in February are higher than a month ago and tonight they showed that they are capable and developing into a much improved team.

In a game that was not expected to be close and blowout could be easily had, the Hoyas showed they listen, learn, coaches have pointed out problems, players making great strides on issues that often take months or more than a year to turn the corner, these Hoyas showed they have guts, can play with greatly improved IQ, curb turn overs, play the boards well, and improve defense.
There was so much that was freaking good about this game it was amazing. Games often filled with a lot of boneheaded plays this game against a national top 6 teams showed they can play and a big corner to turn may be much closer than we thought. A couple plays with lack of thinking (overall very very few lapses in BB IQ) hurt wining a game Hoyas had no freaking chance at going in.
Proud.

Good games from Govan, Derrickson, Pickett & Blair.
The starting backcourt of Mulmore and Johnson with zero points.

I had looked it up but I figured it was around 75%. To act like we definitely win if he doesn't foul is crazy Fine but I will take my chances being one of the best FT shooting teams in the country... Yeah, that’s the frustrating thing. We are a quite good FT shooting team but we are also quite bad at milking away games with it. Sigh.

The basketball IQ on this team is off the charts. Execution? I'm in favor of it, but this team wouldn't even qualify. John McKay lives!

We're going to look back on this year in a decade and shake our heads at the talent level we rolled out there night after night.

I know we don't won't to hear this but we have come a long way in a short time and in December we would have been blown out in the 1st half. It's little things that unfortunately freshmen don't know yet. Marko get on the floor for a lose ball, Juggy kick the ball to your wide open teammate, Jagan don't foul a 3 pt shooter in the last 40 secs up 4pts.....It's frustrating but they won't be making those errors next season............

After such a great game, Georgetown manage to lose the game. You wonder what is in Jagan's mind when your team is winning by 4 and you foul 3-pointer. Then Govan decided not to play in the overtime. And the two plays at the end of the game and overtime sucked . That happens when you don't have a PG. Otherwise, I was please with the game. Georgetown is back.

But with a few more pieces and continued development from our underclassmen, is this a competitive team next year? Does anyone out there still say no? The key as it has been for years is to get a true PG. if the team stays as is without a GOOD recruit or grad transfer PG it will be a waste of Govan and Derrickson and what should be an improved Pickett and Blair.

My concern is that these close but no cigar losses eventually hurt the players moral. The BE is tough, and lends itself to blow out losses on the road than close games. As a team if you keep making mental mistake after mental mistake to give the game away then you dont deserve to win. These late game performance is going to define Ewing's career. He is either going to be remembered as a Coach Esherick for these late game melt downs or help get the team over the hump and be remembered more of a JTIII

DePaul plays with guts, too. Where does that get them? Another Wednesday game in the Big East tournament, that's what. The guard play on this team is as bad as it's been in the last 50 years and there seems little or no improvement. (Bring in Hines, he can't be any worse at this point.)
