Wish I could be there. They should give four free tickets to retired feds.

The last of our four "can win" games. I expect another game like Saturday's, i.e. an ugly win.

I will take a win any way we can get it!!! Play hard and smart for forty minutes and we ought to get there.

Need another big game from Kaleb defending the Straus kid from Depaul. If they can contain him then Depaul will struggle to score, which should put the Hoyas in a good position.

For the first Big East game this season, I expect to win. Nothing is guaranteed, but for the first time in the conference season, I would be disappointed with a loss.
I think we are starting to find some successful player rotations, I especially liked what I saw from Mosely/Blair against SJ. Limit turnovers and just play our game, we should win.

Other than the technical at the end, was there something during the first game that made you feel that way?

Leitao's technical in the last game cost DePaul significantly, and then he had DePaul start fouling us way too early, which basically handed us the win as long as we kept making our free throws (and we are 8th best nationally at free throws). While we may have won the game anyway, Leitao's strategy/tactical selections in the last game helped us a lot.

Another winnable game for us, and I hope we capitalize. With this team, going 4-0 against DePaul and St. John's would be an accomplishment. Over time, I've thought the best way to measure Ewing's success in his first year is to look at how he does in games where we match up equally/roughly equally with our competition. Ewing has won pretty much all of those games so far (you could argue that we match up fairly equally with Syracuse and Butler, but I think they're ahead of us right now).
The rest of the season beyond this game is going to be a major challenge. I certainly won't say I expect us to lose the remaining games, but I wouldn't really expect more than 2-3 wins against the rest of the schedule. And each of those wins would probably be some degree of an upset. That makes this a pivotal game to build some momentum heading into a really tough road trip.
Hope we get it done, and love the promotions for this game.

For what it’s worth the games remaining we are most favored in on KenPom are:
- DePaul (63%) - Providence (44%) - Seton Hall (37%) - Marquette (37%) - Xavier (24%)
These are all home games which makes sense. On the flip side, we are 2% against Villanova away.
KenPom projects us as 6-12. Personally, I think 6 may be a reach but it’s certainly possible.

6 would be fantastic. Maybe I am still dealing with PTSD from the Nova game. Win this week, split with Provy and win either Marquette or Butler. Anything else is simply gravy or maybe the freshman become consistent and we cut down on turnovers. That alone would get us 2 more games.

There will likely be a team that falls off the NCAA bubble among (Butler, MU, PC) and starts to tank - we will win that game at home. Other than that the going looks tough. 5 wins would meet my expectations for the seasons and sweeping DePaul and SJ would be satisfying.
But first, take care of business against DePaul. Being the favorite is a foreign feeling for this team, they need to handle it.

Win this one and we're playing the remainder of the season with house money.
Odds are we'd stay out of the bottom two, and just 1 win in our final 9 would guarantee us a pre-BET regular season over .500
That might not mean much to diehard college bball fans who'll remember our non-conf SOS, but it'll be a lot more attractive to the average Joe than 12-17 (or what might've been).

Had no interest in those "games". For me, the season started with the Big East schedule. And being an underdog in 8 straight leaue games seems significant for this program.
