In all seriousness where does this one rank in all-time embarrassing losses? Just checked the Hoya game notes. We lost to #2 Marquette 88-44 in 1971, back in the Al McGuire Era. Haven't had a worse loss, point-wise, since then.

Jay Wright recruits basketball players, not just athletes. You can't help but be impressed.

Yea but I was referring to Duke, Kentucky. With Nova up by 38pts and counting, I can just imagine what an athletic team that likes to run with comparable size or even more size would do to the Hoyas Villanova is the #1 offense in the country and hasn't been outside the top 5 for 5 years. We won't see much better than this. Understand, but Gtown has front-court size and back court size on Nova, which leads me to believe if the game was played at a slower pace the score differential would not be so great. Even St. Johns put up a better fight against Nova on Saturday. Whereas with the team size of Kentucky and Duke, even if the game was slowed down the point differential would be the same, only the total number of points scored in the game would change.

It is what it is, ugly. Guys have to compete and play basic basketball. Try to score, try to defend.

We have almost as many TO's as made field goals. I knew this year would be tough. It's just hard to live through it.

Pickett hits a three to make it 88-47 with three minutes left.

The team manger Hines is even out there at the moment and bringing the score out of deeply embarrassing range.

No one expected Nova to come in here and boat race the Hoyas by 35 plus points.
This game has not been competitive since midway thru the 1st half.
This is a bad loss, not going to try to spin this
