Can't ask for anything more at this point. It's a long shot, but we are in the game.

Well in the good news category...Kentucky just landed a top 100 SF Dontaie Allen. Have to at least that would weigh a little in the mind of Whitney on his visit...

Don't think that effects Whitney. I still think Whitney chooses Kentucky.

Looks to be a long term pickup, according to an article on 247 UK could be making provisions for the eventual change in the HS eligibility rules.. Plus he's a Kentucky kid so there's that too..

The fact the offer came and the visit was scheduled says he is going to Kentucky. His comments on Kentucky couldn't be more wrong but it is what it is. Hopefully he does go on the other visits. Glad his dad is going with him.

Zero surprise. PayPal Cal was the last to offer but was the first to garner a visit after schools like Georgetown were on him for over a year before he was even a regional prospect.
That's the nature of recruiting and The young man is allowed to make whatever decision he wants to make.
While Whitney has O&D athleticism and a developing skill set, which alone will probably get him drafted (Isaiah Briscoe, Trevon Duval among others may beg to differ) his game needs seasoning so that he's ready early in his pro career to be impactful and maximize on his 2nd contract.
A lot of similarities between Whitney and Theo Pinson's development entering into each player's senior year of high school...

All of it is to give love to Orr and keep our name out there as a favor. Kid probably doesnt want to make that call to disappoint the man who looked out for his family.

It sounds like UK is the one everyone is expecting, but any reason to think Illinois or Oregon are a threat to get him? Would we be forecasted #2 right now?

Still in it, even if it seems over-determined. (If he was dead set on Cal and UK after the weekend visit, no reason to cut to a final 4, so hopefully there's still a shot).

Illinois is right there with us for second, not that it means anything. Mac Irvin and Underwood have a good relationship and Whitney's mom wants him closer to home after going away for school.

The longer it goes the better for the Hoyas. I am sure Kentucky is recruiting other high level players at his position and if one of those players decides to commit soon it might make Whitney re-think Kentucky as a landing spot. Just trying to hold out hope!!!!

i think he is asking Ewing if pickett leaves after this season i am guessing this kid is thinking he is a one and done and wants the spot light but is having second thoughts because pickett is on the roster
