Fox News talked endlessly about the political leanings of Brett Kavanaugh’s would-be “assassin” (who called the cops on himself before he could do any harm) but played down the Buffalo shooter’s obvious political motivations. I wonder if they are going to make any mention of the HP shooter’s Trump and QAnon obsession. But let’s keep “both sides”ing this like there is any real comparison in real world carnage.

Oh god. If he was trying to make a political statement and he used a gun, will the Supreme Court say it was legal use of his second amendment right for first amendment protected speech? I don’t know what these Supreme Court zealots will do next.

All Republicans are weak on terror and terrorism and some are actually supporters of terrorism.

To recap: hundreds and hundreds of children killed and hurt IN THEIR SCHOOLS, shoppers gunned down IN THEIR SUPERMARKETS, families killed and destroyed by gunfire AT A 4TH OF JULY PARADE, moviegoers murdered IN THEIR CINEMAS, concertgoers mowed down at AN OUTDOOR CONCERT, workers killed AT THEIR WORKPLACE, worshippers shot dead AT THEIR CHURCH, SYNAGOGUE, MOSQUE, commuters terrorized and wounded ON THE SUBWAY, people socializing murdered IN A NIGHT CLUB, countless others killed, wounded, lives changed forever IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS, CARS, HOMES, HIGHWAYS, HOSPITALS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, FAMILY GATHERINGS, MALLS, SHOPPING CENTERS, FESTIVALS, IN AN AMBULANCE, HOTELS, AND PARKS.
Since we're not going to do anything to create and enforce real gun safety that will save lives, let's concentrate on how the 2nd Amendment folks plan to protect our human lives -- IN EVERY F--KING PLACE WE GO LIKE EVERY DAY, EVERY WEEK.
Tell me what to tell my kids when they're going out with friends so they have a whisper of a chance of surviving in the ever-more likely chance of violence and gunfire. I'll get you started: "O.K., listen. Be careful. Call us if you need a ride - doesn't matter how late. Don't get into anyone's car if they've had even one, o.k.? Be safe -- I love you. Oh, and..." GO 2ND AMENDMENT PEOPLE! What are the words - - come on -- you're always ready with something clever after a mass shooting. Whatta ya got? Let's go -- spill it. Sorry, what's that? Ah, just as I thought -- you got nothin'." O.K. -- this is when you admit to being ignorant, myopic, obsessed, self-righteous, and unwilling to care about others or even consider what your defense of guns is doing to folks all around you. Then sit down and contact your reps to tell them to get behind gun safety legislation because anything less is cowardly, callous, and soul-crushingly wrong.

Americans have a God-given right to any type of gun ever manufactured, and if you don't like it, you're a Commie wimp. More guns for everyone is the only solution. Thoughts and prayers to the collateral damage.

It was a dereliction of duty. The Police should just admit that they were too terrified of going up against a guy with an AR 15. Maybe by at least admitting that, the gun crazies would start to realize that access to these weapons isn’t compatible with supporting blue lives. I don’t understand how these folks think they are supporting the police when they continue to refuse any limitations on these deadly weapons. They’re deadly for children, cops, shoppers everyone. They are more deadly when you set up a system that makes access to them laughably easy. And the excuse “that there are already so many guns that it doesn’t make sense to limit them at this point” is garbage. The solution to a flood is not more water.

Guess who won't see it that way? If only the teachers had their own guns in the classroom, they could have responded. After all, they're way better trained than the police to handle these situations, correct?

Nearly 400 "good guys with guns" couldn't protect innocent school children and their teachers. Congrats, MAGA GOP and your master the NRA. Still calling yourselves "pro-life"? Frigging hypocrites. Take a good look at yourselves in the mirror next time you wake up. What do you see? A fake tough guy hypocrite? Nearly 400 local, state and federal law enforcement officers were at the scene that day, including 91 state troopers — none of whom took the initiative to lead the response, the Texas House investigative report said. The school district police chief, Pedro “Pete” Arredondo, wrote its active shooter response plan and assigned himself as incident commander, but did not follow the protocol he had set up, the report said. “Hundreds of responders from numerous law enforcement agencies — many of whom were better trained and better equipped than the school district police — quickly arrived on the scene,” the report says. “Those other responders, who also had training on active shooter response and the interrelation of law enforcement agencies, could have helped to address the unfolding chaos. Yet in this crisis, no responder seized the initiative.” www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/07/17/uvalde-school-shooting-report/

You know the old saying...what does it take to stop a bad guy with a gun? 401 good guys with guns.

And so now we have a mass shooter in Indiana gunned down by a "good samaritan" with a gun. I can hardly wait to see in which direction this takes us.

We could have 100 Uvaldes happen. But, "Republicans" will point to this one as if it's the norm and the only mass shooting that's ever happened in this country.

And 3 innocent people STILL died because a 20 year old guy had killing machine. Not a “good” outcome despite the fast response.
