He might be small but the intellect, ball skills and wizardry from McDaniel only comes along every so often. He is one of the most polished play-makers that I have ever seen from someone at his grade level. Place scoring weapons around him and he will carve you up. Virginia Tech and Wake Forest have each offered and, despite his size, the talent level and imprint that he makes each time out should equate to a blueblood recruitment. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/ten-takeaways-from-three-days-at-the-nike-eybl•Sophomore point guard Dug McDaniel was arguably the best distributor and passer at camp. He’s quick, plays well pace and is difficult for defenders to keep in front. Despite lacking in size, McDaniel has impressive vision and is a pinpoint. McDaniel excelled in pick and roll situations and is quite comfortable making the pocket pass. He also had his moments shooting the ball, particularly at the beginning of camp. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/USA-Basketball-u16-trials-Jalen-Duren-Max-Christie-Jabari-Smith-132306626/

It is still clearly very early in the recruiting process, but already Bradley has a handful of high-major offers. “I have scholarship offers from Auburn, Wake Forest, Georgetown and Florida,” said Bradley. Along with those schools, interest is coming in from others, and Bradley has already had a chance to make a few college visits. “I’ve been to a couple of college games,” noted Bradley. “I think my biggest one was Kentucky versus Tennessee at Tennessee last year.” About that trip to Knoxville, Bradley said, “The home crowd was loud. Knowing it was against a top team in the nation, the crowd knew it had to bring energy, and it was just a great atmosphere.” While having this much attention this early in the process can be tough for some kids to handle, Bradley is keeping a level head about everything, and is focused on the process. “To me the attention means I have to keep working, and just trust the process so the schools that have offered stay interested, and so that others come in and offer as well,” explained Bradley. 247Sports won’t release an initial 2022 ranking for quite some time, but when the rankings are made, look for Bradley to be someone who has a chance to be ranked very highly. hoyatalk2.proboards.com/post/803649/quote/30452?page=2•2022 guard Jaden Bradley is oozing with talent and was one of the best point guard prospects at camp. He particularly stood out on the last day with his vision and passing ability. He pushed the ball ahead, found guys in transition and is able to get by defenders and get to the basket. He could be more consistent, but he has a lot of natural ability and talent. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/USA-Basketball-u16-trials-Jalen-Duren-Max-Christie-Jabari-Smith-132306626/

Based on what we from Judah Mintz in Hampton, he looks ready to take the next step at Gonzaga. The 6-foot-3, 165 pound freshman guard went off for 23 points as Team Takeover recovered from a double-digit halftime deficit to knock off BWSL-Hite on Saturday at Southern JamFest. Mintz has always been adept at attacking the basket and scoring from mid range, but he is looking more and more comfortable shooting the three ball lately. “My jump shooting is the most improved part of my game,” said Mintz. “I’ve been getting a lot of reps in the gym.” Mintz gained valuable experience during his freshman year, guarding the likes of Anwar Gill in every day practice and bringing home a WCAC Championship in the process. It will be interesting to see if the success he is currently having with Team Takeover will manifest itself during his sophomore season at Gonzaga. He showed signs of potential last season, but can he emerge as a consistent producer? “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up as a five-star,” Gill said of Mintz. “I know what he’s capable of. He guarded me every day in practice.” www.prephoops.com/2019/05/prospect-spotlight-judah-mintz-2022/

He has elite feel, is an excellent passer, and possesses tremendous floor vision. At his size his outside shot will have to continue to come around, though he did make one three on the night. Still, it is his ability to make others better which was on display the most, and McDaniel showed why he is someone who makes a massive impact on the game despite being small in stature. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Nike-Elite-100-Emoni-Bates-Chris-Livingston-Dug-McDaniel-Moussa-Cisse-Paolo-Banchero-133198369/

Local class of 2022 kid... "Paul VI Catholic has become the springboard for some of the top college prospects in recent years and Dug McDaniel looks to be next in line. Standing at 5-foot-8, McDaniel might not pass the look test, but a glance at the final box score - 13 points, 11 assists with just three turnovers - only begins to tell the story to just how good the freshman is. McDaniel is not just a fun watch but also a productive one. George Washington and Mount St. Mary’s are the first two programs that have offered, but more are sure to come between now and 2022." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/the-evans-awards-dc-national-hoopfest•Standing roughly 5-10, 140-pounds Knasir “Dug” McDaniels has taken over the point guard responsibilities for Paul VI with Jeremy Roach out and doing so in exciting fashion. The undersized guard plays with a confidence and maturity that catches you by surprise knowing he’s only a freshman. His passing and ball-handling kept the crowd entertained and will be a fun one to watch over the coming years.

The Harrisburg native has the makings of something special. A giant combo guard with extra length and the body to grow into, Westry is already firmly situated on a number of high-major recruiting boards. DePaul, Georgetown, Penn State and Providence have offered with many more on the way. Westry looks the part of an elite guard target in the 2022 and played like it all weekend long. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/evans-takeaways-top-teams-converge-on-philly-live-2
