So many people are sleeping on what Grayson Carter will bring to the table. I'm really excited at the versatility of a 6'9+ Forward with range, skill, who can also put it on the deck. Has some toughness and physicality to him as well. No he doesn't have the mixtapes or the top 100 ranking that the uninitiated need to get their attention but the kid can play and will be very versatile in Coach Ewing's system. Carter has got so much Bennie Boatwright in his game.

Not being negative, or assuming he can't, but can he defend and rebound at a high level...he'll need to in order to be a meaningful contributor at the Big East level...love his stroke, but he'll need to bring the other elements as well...

How does he compare to Paul White? He doesn't. Seems to be a different player. Paul White could run an offense a little, doesn't seem Carter can.

I don't think either is a great comparison tbh but I get where folks are going with the Wilson comparison... I don't see Reggie at all. They don't even play the same position and Reggie doesn't have any semblance of a post game. Think we need more video to say for sure, but imo he's more in the mold of an Erik Murphy (Fla), Jared Berggren (Wisc), or Kevin Jones WVU.. Senior year Ryan Spangler (Oklahoma) might be another good comparison.. Anyways there's a lot of value in a kid that can pick and pop and also go in the post and get you a bucket. If he can do both consistently he'll be a good player for us. *Bump* Think this comp for Carter is on point.. On edit: This is where he can eventually get to, he's not this polished yet especially on the inside..

Without following him too much, it feels like his high school senior season is kind of going like Paul White's senior hs season: not leading the team in scoring, but close, and stuffing the stat sheets.
Is he the leader on his bball teams (hs and club) or is he like Paul White?

Is he the leader on his bball teams (hs and club) or is he like Paul White? the team is full of potential however the leader is their PG who has already committed to play for Oklahoma Sooners. They also have a wing who is a decent defender at this stage but we already have pickett. Carter doesnt always need the ball to be efficient he is good at catch and shoot and can also take it to the hole if needed.

Watching X-Butler, Kaiser Gates might be a good comp for Grayson...
