Like I said he lands with such force on his jumps that leg/foot injuries are going to keep happening. Think we dodged a bullet here.

Basically the only good options left are Mballa, Wahab, Jamarion Sharp and Osunniyi.
Can anyone think of any others, maybe more off the radar ones?

But Bates is just as much as a injury concern. I don't get the fascination with Bates. He won't be the upgrade people think that he will be..he just a little better than good TimI. Come on man. Tim seemed like a good kid, but he fumbled or kicked more balls out of bounds last season without a defender in the area code than all other GU players put together over the last 30 years. Saying he had hands like a digital clock is WAY TOO kind. He was not good at basketball. That was Tim last year. Two years ago he played much better. I know that I'm hard on Manny but I believe most remember how he dominated HS. He didn't dominate at NCSt at all...

Bates was really good at NC State. Factually speaking, a dominant shot blocker. Examples from his bio: - Through two seasons was on pace to become the program’s all-time leader in blocked shots and have the best field goal percentage in program history - 2020-21: Led team in rebounds in blocks … Led ACC in blocks and finished 11th in the NCAA … Had multiple blocked shots in 15 games, including 11 games with three or more blocks - 2019-20: led ACC and ranked sixth in the NCAA with 2.93 blocks per game average … 83 blocked shots are the most by a freshman in program history, breaking the old record 36 blocks … took him only 15 games to break the program’s single-season blocks record for a freshman

This is such BS is I have ever seen it. If it was that bad, you don't put the school in your top three even if your top 3 was just for show. Come on Mr. Hilltop Writer, you are smarter than that. Stop chipping away at your credibility. You only have less than 1/4 of a tank remaining, if that.

When he grad transfers in a year let’s remember not to recruit him. Dude just doesn’t want to be a Hoya. It’s fine. Next.

I was going to mention this before...
That visit w/ Bates & Ward (and Brooks) must've been really awkward.

I didn't think we'd get him only because if he had wanted to come there's no need for posting your top 3 or the top runners. Secondly, what difference does last years record make? Every team is sitting at 0-0 right now and we have a new team, minus a couple more PF's/ C.

Obviously it was pure show by both guys to drive up the price at Butler and LSU, respectively. Not sure it was that awkward for anybody - Bates, Ward and Brooks knew exactly what they were doing and our coaching staff was very likely clueless as usual.

Hey guys don’t worry about Bates. Our coaching staff is playing chess. We are not going be held hostage by ridiculous NIL demands. Especially, if the player is injuring prone.

Yeah, if we're going to promise NIL money to someone, an injury-prone center is not the guy I'd want to do it with (assuming NIL played a factor here). I'd much rather we used those NIL promises to get a player who's more reliable physically (Osunniyi/Mballa). If that earlier report from Hilltop Hoops was true about them offering 200K of NIL money to ward, then we should be in the game for Mballa/Osunniyi. How much into the game is the question... I'm still very curious about whether that reported 200K thing was true, which would mean G'Town is in the NIL game --- maybe not anywhere near the top, but that we're not as far behind as we're led to believe.

Bates commits to Butler. Go get Mballa or Wahab. Don't know why people keep floating this Wahab thing. Wasn't his handler just clowning Georgetown over the Tyrell Ward situation on Twitter a week ago?
