The staff better land Q, Osunniyi or Mballa. Either that, or they have some wild Plan B (that no one knows about). I'm all for small ball, but you can't roll with Akok, Ryan and Wilson as the only guys over 6'7 (Akok still being an injury concern).
Osunniyi also seems highly unlikely, so our options are THIN!

Slater also implied we were a lock for Ward. Yeah - nobody's 100% on these things, but still usually not a good sign.

I see Q keeps getting mentioned in various threads, is that actually a possibility? I know he is in the portal, but I haven't seen anything linking him back to us. Mballa would be great, and I really wish Holloway would just come back home. Osunniyi seems like a big long shot.

Mballa would be great, and I really wish Holloway would just come back home. Osunniyi seems like a big long shot. It's been reported that Orr met with Qudus a while ago (when he first entered the portal I believe). There was also a more recent rumour that Pat was going to be meeting with Wahab (no idea if that actually happened). Mballa is the guy who's most intriguing. Qudus' pick and roll defense was so bad, that as much as I would like him back, I don't miss watching his extremely poor P&R defense out there. Mballa is far more mobile, and a good defender. Rebounds good for his size, and can stretch the D a bit. I haven't heard a word on Mballa being linked to anyone, or seen a list of teams that have contacted him. That's good news for Georgetown, the quieter a recruitment, the better it seems to be for Georgetown --- that's how they operate. For what it's worth, Akok was a high school teammate of Mballa that won a championship together when Mballa was a senior, and Akok was a sophomore. Georgetown can actually have a pretty good team if they can add one more impact big. It would be damn shame if the season suffers because they end up short on serviceable big men. The heat is on Ewing, he HAS to find that one more player.

Slater also implied we were a lock for Ward. Yeah - nobody's 100% on these things, but still usually not a good sign. Is it just me or does it seem like the guys who are "locks" when it comes to this with something like 98% accuracy, only cause us pain with the player who was assuredly coming here - Noel, Ward, etc., and never the other way around with a positive signing? Why is their 2% wrong always against us and not for us!? I guess maybe Monroe, but that that was ahead of the social media days? Aminu was I guess a slight surprise, but at the end we looked to be in a good spot.

Not surprising, but his hit rate gets a lot better the closer his prediction is to the announcement. I haven’t seen too many times that he is wrong hours in advance of an announcement. Like “bracketologist” touting that they got 95% of the field right…of course, that is their selection Sunday bracket not the one from mid-Feb. hm

That's the only "surprise" recruit that choose Georgetown when the crystal balls were saying he would go elsewhere - that I can recall in recent years

But that was very early on in the official crystal ball world.

Tim seemed like a good kid, but he fumbled or kicked more balls out of bounds last season without a defender in the area code than all other GU players put together over the last 30 years. Saying he had hands like a digital clock is WAY TOO kind. He was not good at basketball.

I'm watching his vidoes and his landings are really hard. Alot of stress on the legs and feet. He doesn't have soft landings when he jumps

He was the best rebounder on the team per 100 possessions and the second best overall to Aminu, who was a rebounding machine. He was outstanding in the tournament loss. Yes, he had a lot of trouble with passes, but he was a contributor on the boards.
