Good luck to JT3. The Montag Group represents some of the best broadcasters in the business.

Good luck to JT3. The Montag Group represents some of the best broadcasters in the business. I wish Coach well in his new endeavor. I don't know the man. I hope that a broadcasting gig will allow him to loosen up and show some of what I have heard is a very engaging personality.

Called it in the now-locked John Thompson Discussion thread on Mar. 12, 2017 at 11:11 pm: "I see him sitting next to Lavin in the Fox Sports studio." We shall see re: Lavin and Fox Sports.

Wish him the best.
He'll do a fine job in broadcasting.
Still think he is a good coach, and can win again.
Go Hoyas!

Hope it works out for him.
Based on numerous examples that I've seen, success is a relatively low bar dictated by inoffensiveness and a penchant for stating the obvious, constantly. Maybe he can transcend that.

I don't know that I see him as a great fit in this industry but best of luck to him Same thing said about his dad and Big John had a fairly well-received broadcasting career. However, if JTIII interested in coaching again, it might temper his opinions a bit, perhaps.

Wish him the best. He'll do a fine job in broadcasting. Still think he is a good coach, and can win again. Go Hoyas! I've always thought that taking a year or two off to reassess, and to do broadcasting might work out really well for him. Could be the "battery recharger" that he needs, plus it's a cool gig that would keep him in the game in the meantime. Good luck, JT3! Knock it outta the park!

Seth Greenberg has carved out a nice niche as the basketball guy at ESPN. And he did nothing at Virginia Tech.

Seth Greenberg has carved out a nice niche as the basketball guy at ESPN. And he did nothing at Virginia Tech. You could tell he'd be good - had a lot of practice during the recurring Selection Sunday segment where he was allowed to cry about being left out of the tourney.
