I watched the Oak Hill on ESPN last night and would take Carter over most of the young guards we have in the fold.

I really like Brantley. He seems to be the type of "lead guard" who can run a team and also consistently provide offense, which the Hoyas are going to really need next year from the point position. I realize that available scholarships are an issue, and that Aminu would be the number 1 option if we can fit another player in, but hopefully Brantley is near the top of that list also, especially if they don't land Aminu.

Aminu addition puts us 6th nationally on 247 right now. Even if we fall out of the top 10, it's still gonna be such a great class.
Talent at all positions, with a diamond leading the way.

Guess Holgrem or Baldwin can’t come now...
Ha on a serious note, this thread is probably dead now. As good a class as anyone could have hoped for when this started.

Guess Holgrem or Baldwin can’t come now... Ha on a serious note, this thread is probably dead now. As good a class as anyone could have hoped for when this started. Scholarships work themselves out. Exactly!! I don't see the Hoyas as real players for Holmgren or Baldwin, and never thought they had much of chance with those guys, but I do think the Hoyas should try to add another point/lead guard if possible. I think Dante will be better next year and Beard looks like he should be a good player who can be a point guard, but that leaves them with really just two true point guards on the roster (one freshman and one sophomore). We can see this year that having just two really strong ball handlers can be an issue if one misses some time, like Jalen is now. If they had a chance to add another recruit/player they felt was ready to compete for minutes right away, or add another grad transfer, it would add some important depth to that guard position. Aminu and Riley both look to have a good handle but neither is really a point guard and being expected to be a main ball handler in the Big East as freshman would be a big ask. I realize we don't have another scholarship available (hell, we don't actually have one for Aminu who has already committed yet) but as everyone says, these things tend to work themselves out if you can find the right players.

We are now #6 recruiting class; Villanova #5. Color me shocked if our class does not prove to be significantly better.

Riley could work his way up to 4-star status.

I also feel like Beard should as well but it's also harder for post grad guys to improve their rankings.

So we’ll have a ‘21 scholarship available...interesting...and he’s 6’9”...
