Why? It's morre of a position of need than a center, no? if we get JB we got one scholarship left. Mutombo is a kid they really want. I don't really agree because they sittin pretty with Smith kid from my... I feel you but we only have 1 kid that can play pf on the roster and we have 3 centers.

If we have learned anything over the years about our recruiting, its that its never exactly what we perceive it to be...but sooner or later it will all be revealed, and it will likely be at least somewhat different than we all imagined...lets just hope its as exciting as we hope it will be...

Just spent the afternoon watching every bit of film I could find on KJ Adams and came away rethinking some of my original assessments. IMO he grades out to be more of a SF at the next level then a PF. At the SF, he could be a physical & athletic mismatch. It's also possible the staff views KJ as a SF as well. So with that thought and whispers of the Hoyas being a dark horse for his services, is it possible that the staff would take both KJ Adams and Jalin Billingsley this weekend and go into the spring to complete this class...? I think we as fanbase have made a mistake by putting Jalin Billingsley and KJ Adams up against each other as if it was a pick one situation when it could easily be take both situation, securing forwards (two are graduating this year) and focus on securing a BIG in the spring? A Beard, Riley, Adams, and Billingsley class before September would be extremely promising and exciting. Four highly talented athletic players with huge upside that projects to be on campus for more then one season so they could grow together would be a class that would shut up even some of the most negative fans/posters on here. Heh...probably not. They will find something else to complain about... Doubt they would take both. Think they're going pretty hard after Jakai Robinson and feel pretty good about their chances. It's probably between us and Seton Hall. Man don’t play with my emotions about Robinson

Heh...probably not. They will find something else to complain about... Doubt they would take both. Think they're going pretty hard after Jakai Robinson and feel pretty good about their chances. It's probably between us and Seton Hall. I'm only acknowledging the possibility that the staff could take KJ Adams and Jalin Billingsley depending on how the staff evaluated the two players. IMO Adams is much more of a SF then a PF. When they both announced they were committing this week, The fan base started debating which was the better fit when in actuality their games are so different that they could both fit. I here you regarding Jakai Robinson. But the staff was in early on Adams and spent a lot of time visiting him including stopping in to see him during the trip to OK State & SMU. I don't know how the staff has graded Adams. They know their system/style of play they want to achieve better then anyone and may see Adams as more of a four. They could also see him as a three and play him alongside a Billingsley. Back to Robinson! We also don't know who the staff prefers between the two and whether or not their recruiting board/needs have changed with addition of Riley. Adams is bigger and more athletic and versatile then Robinson. I think Adams could be a monster defensively. A Boubacar Aw like defender. Both have some big time DAWG in them. Robinson is the better pure shooter. What does the staff value/need on the roster more at this time is the big question? I myself highly doubt the staff would say no to KJ Adams (if their evaluation is similar to mine) only to wait it out on Jakai Robinson to decide between Seton Hall who's been very aggressive in his recruitment, UConn who is also involved at a high level and Georgetown. Not to mention any other school like a UNC could come in late and try to snatch him up. I know that people think that Seton Hall has started prioritizing Sean Durugordon at a high level. We know that because Durugordon is much more active on social media then Robinson is. What I'm saying is we don't know what Robinson's plans are, who else is really invoiced for him or when he wants to commit. IMO It would be hard to pass up Adams at the SF, if he wanted to commit this weekend. I doubt the staff would pass on him. That's why they get paid the big bucks to make these kind of decisions. I'm sure the staff was front row for this one. A really really competitive game. Both teams got after it. Great matchup between KJ Adams and Jakai Robinson that goes down to the last to the last play in overtime.

Phenomenal interview. Well-spoken, smart kid. I like how he knows what he needs to work on.

Am I missing something, or are there only four schools in that “top 5”? Xavier, VCU, Mason, St. Joe’s, and ?

Today, we take a look at Nisine Poplar. WHO IS HE? A solidly built and athletic junior combo guard who is pushing 6-foot-5, Poplar has been busy putting together one heck of a resumé during his first two full years of playing organized basketball. As a sophomore, Poplar helped led his team in scoring and they won a class AA State Championship during his first year of organized basketball. As a junior, he earned State Player of the Year honors in his class and led MC&S to their first ever Philadelphia Public League Championship while averaging 22 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. During the summer he runs with K-Low Elite. "I think what will separate Nisine from his classmates around the country, is his multi-faceted abilities offensively," said his high school coach Lonnie Diggs. "He has a rare combination of slick ball handling, great athleticism and elite level outside shooting. He is a true combo guard with a rapid learning curve. I think he has talent, upside & skills to be a 5star recruit. To say that Poplar has a wide ranging list of scholarship offers would be an understatement as those who want him run the gamut. Auburn, Cal State Bakersfield, Central Connecticut State, Delaware State, DePaul, Drexel, Georgia, LaSalle, Marquette, Maryland, Miami, NJIT, Old Dominion, Penn State, Robert Morris, St. Francis (Pa.), St. John's, St. Joseph's, Temple, VCU, Virginia Tech and Wichita State. In addition to all of those offers, Poplar has had the likes of Connecticut, Georgetown, Kentucky and Minnesota reach out for more information. So far, he's seen the campuses of LaSalle, St. John's, St. Joseph's and Temple while he recently conducted a zoom visit with the Miami staff. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/introducing-2021-shooting-guard-nisine-poplarOne of my favorite players in this class. Nisine Poplar is one of the most overlooked players in this class. So much Victor Oladipo in his game. Would love for the staff to lock him in!

I think I'm on an island here but I think Brandon Murray - a wing who can shoot well and efficiently and has a ton of athleticism and fosters local recruiting ties - would be a lot better for us than Ryan Mutombo.

If the choice is Aminu or Mutombo, i think the answer is Aminu.

If the choice is Aminu or Mutombo, i think the answer is Aminu. If the Hoyas land Billingsley, then I would think Aminu would be the better option of the two, although if you could find a way to take both I think you do that in a minute. They also seem very engaged with a few PG's so I would think they are trying to add someone to that position. It is so hard to predict because there are so many moving parts in college hoops every year.

I really like Aminu. But unless he’s here for more than one year, I’d rather add a four year guy like Jakai Robinson. Four years of that shooting and skill... that’s a serious weapon to fall back on.

Honestly in think Mohammed is less likely now that we got Riley. Just my opinion. I think we end up with Malachi Smith even tho Frankie Collins is the first choice.
With one s scholarship left its going be interesting how things shake out since we know mutombo is highly sought after by Ewing.
