The best part is his teammate's reaction after he releases every shot. They immediately start heading down the court as if there is no chance for a miss...…..we need plenty of that in our lineup...

2021 forward from Loomis Chaffee. Originally from Illinois. An offer that will please both Hoyatalk's LC alumni and prhoya You’ll never hear me complain about the Hoyas recruiting another athlete from Loomis Chaffee, even if he doesn’t play water polo or wear #18. Plus etomicb will be happy with the Hoyas recruiting in the NEPSAC. Hoyas practiced at the Loomis athletics facility the last time they played at UConn. They also recently recruited Loomis basketball players DeLaire, Reese, and Blakney.

Georgetown: “Coach Ewing and the other coaches have been in touch a lot. We recently did a zoom call and it went well.”

Today, we take a look at Nisine Poplar. WHO IS HE? A solidly built and athletic junior combo guard who is pushing 6-foot-5, Poplar has been busy putting together one heck of a resumé during his first two full years of playing organized basketball. As a sophomore, Poplar helped led his team in scoring and they won a class AA State Championship during his first year of organized basketball. As a junior, he earned State Player of the Year honors in his class and led MC&S to their first ever Philadelphia Public League Championship while averaging 22 points, five rebounds and three assists per game. During the summer he runs with K-Low Elite. "I think what will separate Nisine from his classmates around the country, is his multi-faceted abilities offensively," said his high school coach Lonnie Diggs. "He has a rare combination of slick ball handling, great athleticism and elite level outside shooting. He is a true combo guard with a rapid learning curve. I think he has talent, upside & skills to be a 5star recruit. To say that Poplar has a wide ranging list of scholarship offers would be an understatement as those who want him run the gamut. Auburn, Cal State Bakersfield, Central Connecticut State, Delaware State, DePaul, Drexel, Georgia, LaSalle, Marquette, Maryland, Miami, NJIT, Old Dominion, Penn State, Robert Morris, St. Francis (Pa.), St. John's, St. Joseph's, Temple, VCU, Virginia Tech and Wichita State. In addition to all of those offers, Poplar has had the likes of Connecticut, Georgetown, Kentucky and Minnesota reach out for more information. So far, he's seen the campuses of LaSalle, St. John's, St. Joseph's and Temple while he recently conducted a zoom visit with the Miami staff. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/introducing-2021-shooting-guard-nisine-poplar

Kerwin Walton thread is locked, so I couldn't post this there - but UNC is already recruiting over him.

We pick things up with the second game on the final day of action in this year’s National High School Hoops Festival, which is being held at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, MD, and the big story here was the clutch outside shooting by 6’5 Jr Jakal Robinson from Ft. Washington (National Christian) MD. We’re talking about an athletic 3-man who knocked down a pair of threes in the final two minutes of the game and single-handedly was responsible for his team’s 63-60 win over Washington (First Love Christian) PA. The first one came with 1:50 left in the game, which tied the game at 60-60. Then, lightning struck again when he knocked down another three, which turned out to be the game winning shot with 22 seconds remaining. Robinson obviously has ice in his veins. But he also knows how to get his own shot and he proved to be one of the best outside shooters that we’ve seen all weekend, as is evident by the fact that he finished with 21 points and knocked 4-8 treys against First Love Christian. He also already has offers from schools like Oklahoma State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, and St. Joseph’s. However, if he continues to play like this, we suspect that he will be one of the prime recruiting targets in the Washington, DC area a year from now. scoop3774.rssing.com/chan-30417528/latest.php#115 in the latest Rivals 150. n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2021National Christian 6-foot-5 junior guard Jakai Robinson is searching for his future college home. He might have opened some eyes Thursday as he scored 32 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Eagles (14-4) into the semifinals. www.heraldmailmedia.com/sports/sjit-opens-with-a-pair-of-thrillers/article_e5dd18a0-43d6-11ea-851e-e70d2c5847f4.html

Feels like Georgetown should offer and pursue all the Mutombo's. Son's, Nephew's, cousin's whatever...

Kerwin Walton thread is locked, so I couldn't post this there - but UNC is already recruiting over him. I don't like the "recruiting over him" line of thinking. If the Hoyas sign Frankie Collins tomorrow for the 2021 class, are they recruiting over Beard and Harris? If there is one thing the Hoyas have learned in the last few years, we need as many players as possible on the roster. Who knows who will stay and go.

To answer your question, yes, they'd be recruiting over Beard and Harris. Harris wouldn't have a leg to stand on to be mad, because as a low-ranked recruit, he had to know he'd be recruited over when he chose Georgetown over his other options (low- and mid-majors).

I don't see it that way, I think competition should always be expected and coaches should always be bringing in the best players they can in each class. I don't want to derail this thread though so I'll just agree to disagree. Really happy to see Coach Pat staying on Hawkins. Baldwin mentioning the Hoyas is good too, but that's an uphill battle to say the least. Keep grinding Pat.

You recruit to fill positions of need, and to make your team better. Whatever it takes to do that.

Personally I think only 2 of those kids are pg's. 3 centers on scholarship but the redshirt means Wilson is a Frosh this year. So more like a stash pick imo.
