Really glad they made his final list. He is a very talented local kid who is in the sweet spot (#50-100 rated kids) of the kids the Hoyas should be recruiting hard. Sounds like they have, and continue to, put in a lot of time on the young man. Would be great to start seeing some of these local stars start suiting up for Georgetown.

Wow that is huge news. Top 50 local, player who fits a huge need in 2021 class with a final 4 that Georgetown should have every chance to win against. Go get him Pat! A future on the wing with Williams and Sibley is terrific.

This would be the type of player. Get me him, Hawkins, McDaniel. That will get the local interest back up along with an influx of talent. Keep up with national recruits when you can but the tide is turning on one & done & G league so you are going to start to see the Duke, Kentucky, UNC crowd start to move down market. We gotta lock in the local seen from Bmore to Richmond and just be a constant presence for these kids.

He would be a great addition and it's nice to make his final 4, but think you're onto something. The way he talks about the ACC makes it clear that he thinks that they're the most prestigious league in the country. I think that's where he wants to be. This is sadly a common problem among kids in the DC area, and something we really need to work to counteract.

FORT MYERS, FL. – No one has garnered more attention during the early portion of the high school season than Kennedy Chandler. Already sitting as a five-star prospect, Chandler is now a blue blood priority. Following another strong showing at the City of Palms Classic, Chandler discussed his latest offers, feelings for some of the programs recruiting him and what his visit schedule looks like. “It has been crazy,” Chandler said about the recent uptick of interest in his recruitment. “A lot of schools have been reaching out, calling me, texting me, and right now, I am just enjoying the process and getting ready for the season ahead.” Duke and North Carolina are the latest to offer Chandler, though it doesn’t make either the leader for him. “It is about what I look at but right now, my recruitment is wide open and I need to figure out what I want to focus on and prioritize upon in the future and find out what is the best fit for me,” Chandler stated.” He has already taken official visits to Ole Miss, Tennessee and Syracuse, and has two others scheduled for Florida State and Michigan, while the local Memphis program has kept him as a top target. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/five-star-kennedy-chandler-updates-recruitment-visits-aheadThe top ranked point guard in the class of 2021 and the No. 10 ranked player overall, five-star Kennedy Chandler released his top five of Duke, Kentucky, Memphis, North Carolina and Tennessee on Thursday. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/2021-s-top-ranked-point-guard-kennedy-chandler-discusses-top-five

The next member of the class of 2021 who has scheduled a time to make a commitment is Rivals150 point guard Ryan Conway. The six-footer is planning to announce on Saturday and has a final group of Marquette, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Stanford and Vanderbilt that he will be selecting from. As he prepares to commit, I've made my futurecast in favor of Kevin Willard and Seton Hall. Sources have indicated that the Pirates are the team to beat and from what I can see the two are a pretty good match of system and player. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-n-c-state-off-to-hot-start-in-2021

If there is one trait that will always be in demand with basketball coaches, it’s the ability to stretch defenses out with a perimeter jump shot. Jordan Hawkins showed this year with DeMatha Catholic High School (MD) that he can do that with the best of them and that’s why he’s now become a highly recruited prospect in the 2021 class. The four-star shooting guard says George Washington, Marquette, Memphis, Seton Hall, UConn and Xavier have been the most involved in his recruitment lately. He’s yet to visit any of them, but hopes to see all of them whenever prospects are allowed to get back on college campuses. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-junior-jordan-hawkins-fielding-more-interestDan highlighted him earlier in the week but Jordan Hawkins is one guy that would have seen his stock soar this spring. There is always a need for a good-sized wing that can really, really shoot the ball that is not at a disadvantage in the athleticism department, either. He played behind a giant cast of talent at DeMatha this winter but would have been ‘the guy’ this time around with the Team Durant program. Marquette, Memphis, Seton Hall, UConn and Xavier are five of the programs involved but if the live periods would have remained intact, Hawkins would have been on every recruiting board up and down the east coast by the time May arrived.
