According to his twitter, we offered guard Angelo Brizzi, guard from VA. Nova also recently offered. Apparently a great shooter. 4:45 mark talks a little about recruiting. Mentions that Georgetown is close to home, plays in a great conference, and offers the chance to play for Coach Ewing.

Current recruitment: Offers from DePaul, Georgetown, Santa Clara, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Xavier. How things may have changed: First of all, I’m at a loss here. How a skilled forward like Sochan - who can play the three and four - isn’t already a Big Ten priority is beyond me. However, the first live weekend would have changed that in a big way, and I bet he would have had most of the Big Ten head coaches heading to see him play this weekend, many after offering during the week. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/bossi-s-best-ten-who-could-have-shined-during-live-evaluations

Re-offer? Re-announcement? Either way he has loved the Hoyas for months.

If there is one trait that will always be in demand with basketball coaches, it’s the ability to stretch defenses out with a perimeter jump shot. Jordan Hawkins showed this year with DeMatha Catholic High School (MD) that he can do that with the best of them and that’s why he’s now become a highly recruited prospect in the 2021 class. The four-star shooting guard says George Washington, Marquette, Memphis, Seton Hall, UConn and Xavier have been the most involved in his recruitment lately. He’s yet to visit any of them, but hopes to see all of them whenever prospects are allowed to get back on college campuses. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-junior-jordan-hawkins-fielding-more-interest

A 6-foot-7 forward that might be best used in a small ball power forward role, David Joplin is a strong and versatile prospect in the frontcourt. Situated just a 15-minute drive from downtown Milwaukee, Joplin just completed his junior season with the Brookfield Central High program. He averaged nearly 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks on the season, while making almost half of his shots from the field and close to 38-percent of his perimeter attempts. A member of the 2021 class, Joplin already possesses a strong, college-ready frame that should suit him well as he gets older. Joplin has already begun to make a name for himself thanks to his play last summer with the Meanstreets program on the 16-under level, and with his local high school unit over the winter. He has received offers from Offered by DePaul, Georgetown, Green Bay, Milwaukee, UNLV and Valparaiso, while Butler is another that has shown heavy interest in him. He has also visited the campuses at Butler, Iowa, Loyola Chicago, and Wisconsin in recent months. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/introducing-versatile-forward-david-joplin

I wish the best for him I just don't see him being a step in the turnaround of the program.

Trey Patterson, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Rutgers Preparatory School (NJ), took his first official visit to Indiana last weekend (Oct. 11-13). He broke down his visit for ZAGSBLOG Wednesday: “I enjoyed that I was able to experience what a college atmosphere is like,” said Patterson. “I met the coaches and players. They want me to be a versatile wing that can do everything: guard multiple positions, handle the ball, etc.” Patterson has no upcoming visits planned. In addition to Indiana, Patterson has also been hearing from Villanova, Auburn, Xavier, Tennessee, UConn, NC State, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, Seton Hall and Rutgers. According to 247Sports, Patterson is ranked as the No. 34 overall player in the Class of 2021 and the No. 2 player from the state of New Jersey. www.zagsblog.com/2019/10/16/2021-trey-patterson-talks-indiana-visit/

I don’t see the recruitment of Trevor Keels coming to an end anytime soon. The five-star junior has improved his national standing immensely this winter, and in doing so he has seen his recruitment skyrocket. Keels is now a blueblood target who holds offers form both Duke and North Carolina, and it would be difficult to write off either program. His Paul VI Catholic High program produced UNC guard Anthony Harris and will see Jeremy Roach suit up for the Blue Devils next year. So, each program has a connection to Keels. Meanwhile, Keels has already taken official visits to Ohio State and Virginia and is expected to take a few more visits once his season wraps up in the coming weeks. Georgetown, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Michigan and South Carolina remain involved, but one school to keep an eye on is Villanova. The Wildcats rarely become involved with a prospect if they feel like they don't have a chance of landing him. While they will have to defeat the bluebloods and a slew of national powers for him, Villanova might be the sneaky leader for him.

One of the premier names at this year’s Virginia Phenom 150, 2021 6’4 Jaden House was one of the prospects that stole the show, as he showed a tremendous upside with a blend of length, size, and ability to control the action on the floor. House’s move to Middleburg Academy has been going well so far, as he has been able to showcase his array of skills on the court and it seems to be paying off. “I’ve definitely shown more range on my jumper, being able to shoot from farther outside the three,” House told Phenom Hoops. “And my role has been just being a leader, making sure that the team stays together all throughout the game.” Already holding multiple offers, House received word that another program would be joining in his recruitment, an offer that certainly felt good receiving. Assistant coach Akbar Waheed from Georgetown had been expressing interest in House for some time and on December 21, the Hoyas pulled the trigger and offered. “(It) felt good to get this one because of the way they play and just the atmosphere of Georgetown basketball,” House replied. “They just said that they want to get me on the campus as soon as possible and that they love my game with me being a strong guard and can play both the 1 or the 2.”Georgetown now joins his list of offers that also include James Madison, Old Dominion, Stetson, Howard, and Mount St. Mary’s, with each one saying different things from each staff. However, all of them absolutely love the “dog mentality” that House possesses on the court. Jaden House reclassing to ‘20 per twitter and wants to make a decision soon.

We have lots of guards coming in. In what manner does he separate himself from the pack who are already committed. Is he automatic from the three and the foul line?

Nope his shot is the ify part according to scouts, he is super athletic and has a dog mentality. Relentless driver type. Another combo type.

He was 1st team All State in VA, Div II. Also on the team: Efton Reid, Angelo Brizzi. So he's in good company, at least.

Any chance his decision is dependent on Walton's?

Any chance his decision is dependent on Walton's? If McClung comes back it is.
