I’ll start with No. 35 Kowacie Reeves, a smooth 6-foot-5 shooter from Macon (Ga.) Westside. The more I see him on film, the more I see a guy whose recruitment could still take a big step forward. Don’t get me wrong, offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Xavier and others are big-time. I just can’t help but think we see some of the bluebloods jump in. Regardless, I’m glad we have him ranked highly. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-arizona-state-2021-risers-teams-that-stand-outFor a while now, Reeves’ recruitment has been mostly centered around two programs: Florida and Stanford. Florida earned the early edge by becoming his first scholarship offer and hanging in there with him ever since. Stanford worked its way in because of the academic reputation of the school but also showing improvement on the court under Jerod Haase. If any programs were to make a move in his recruitment, keep an eye on Georgia Tech and Tennessee. Georgia Tech offers the academics that intrigue his family and Reeves was in attendance for Yellow Jackets win over Louisville this year. Franck Kepnang: As with Diabate, I don’t see a reclassification happening. Sure, a few programs would love to take him in the fall, but there is a much better chance that he finishes things out with his original class. Local programs Seton Hall, St. John’s, Syracuse and UConn are involved, as are Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio State, Pitt and UCLA.
