WASHINGTON, DC. – Jordan Hawkins is near his breakout but already a handful of prominent programs have placed the four-star wing high up on their recruiting board. Following a strong showing at the National Hoops Festival on Sunday, Hawkins recapped his high school transfer, the one program standing out and the others in the mix. “I am enjoying it a lot,” Hawkins said about his first year at DeMatha Catholic. “The transition has been really smooth and the guys have been great and so has Coach (Mike) Jones.” Xavier has invested the greatest in Hawkins, he told Rivals.com, though Florida, George Washington, and Marquette are also heavily involved. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals150-junior-jordan-hawkins-enters-into-a-priority-recruitmentDeMatha got a solid showing from junior Jordan Hawkins. Hawks is a high-level athlete with one of the best-looking jumpers in the country. He scored 14 points, had a pair of triples, and looked a little bit improved with the dribble. His upside is undeniable as he gets stronger and improves on his playmaking skills. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Cancer-Research-Classic-Hunter-Dickinson-Michigan-Wolverines-CJ-Wilcher-Xavier-Musketeers-Purdue-Boilermakers--141682546/On the recruiting front, Hawkins claims scholarship offers from Xavier and George Washington, plus interest from Seton Hall, Marquette and Memphis. Thus far he’s yet to take a college visit. Hawkins did, however, say there’s a school he hopes to hear from. “UNC, that’s my dream schools personally,” Hawkins said. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Jordan-Hawkins-Marquette-Seton-Hall-142678361/

You have to give the staff at DePaul some credit. They have done a good job recruiting over the last few years and have upgraded the talent base significantly. The issue is that if they don't start seeing some results on the floor this year, or next at the very latest, there will likely be a new staff running the program soon.

DePaul is recruiting better than GU. Let that sink in.

The kid Carter Whitt from North Carolina's Team Loaded looks pretty good. He has a quiet confidence, a natural athleticism, a great leadership vibe, a well-liked kid who gets along with his coaches and teammates. A unifying force.

No disrespect but this should be in another thread, maybe the Prospect Thread!

Seriously insulting to post this in the thread of a guy committed to come here and play the same position. Don’t be that kind of rude boy

9/10/2019 by St. Andrew's Communications Staff The first few weeks of school are hectic for every student but Benny Williams ’21 is living a slightly different experience. As one of the country’s top 100 basketball recruits, his junior year is already off to a busy start. Last weekend, Williams took an official visit to the University of Florida. This weekend, he is visiting Syracuse University. Both teams have won the national title since Williams was born. Other schools expressing interest in Williams include Maryland, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Penn State and Clemson. “Benny has worked extremely hard this summer and it has been awesome watching his growth this offseason,” said Kevin Jones, head coach of the boys basketball team and St. Andrew’s Director of Athletics. “I think the most impressive thing with his development and some of the attention that he has received of late is that he has remained a team player. He is genuinely excited to be around his teammates and always looking to help the younger players improve.” Williams, who is 6-foot-8, plays the small forward position and Rivals.com lists him as a top 50 player nationally and #9 at his position. Another recruiting website, 247sports, has him as the top player in Maryland and as #63 in their national rankings. “Benny is as talented a player to come through St. Andrew’s in my time here as basketball coach,” Jones said. “I know I speak for the entire coaching staff when I say that we are excited to watch Benny continue to develop as a student and player.” www.saes.org/news-detail?pk=1114329&fromId=203983#55 in the latest Rivals 150. n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2021

Georgetown has been also recruiting me for a little bit of time now but after Patrick Ewing saw me vs. Our Savior Lutheran when I played, they said: “he is an aggressive scorer and we need that in the 2021 class; he is a flat-out dog” and that is why they offered me. Georgetown is the most recent school to offer him. Head coach Patrick Ewing was on hand to see Cornish play at the Slam Dunk to the Beach. Xavier, who had previously offered, was also at the event to see him play. Head coach Travis Steele was on hand. Cornish said he is also being recruited by VCU, Austin Peay, DePaul, Winthrop, Coastal Carolina, UMass, George Washington, Howard, Towson, Loyola (MD), Stony Brook, Bryant, Southern Utah and Old Dominion have all offered at some point along his recruitment. Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Georgia and South Carolina have also recently shown an interest in him. Originally from Baltimore’s Dulaney High School, Cornish has been a well-known guy in the Mid-Atlantic. But now his profile is starting really grow some wings. He said he’d like to take visits but doesn’t have any immediate plans to do so at the moment. hoopseen.com/news/player/202001/ike-cornish-rising-nationally-2021-class#89 in the latest Rivals 150. n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2021

Warley was going up against Jakai Robinson so safe to say the staff was there for him as well. We pick things up with the second game on the final day of action in this year’s National High School Hoops Festival, which is being held at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, MD, and the big story here was the clutch outside shooting by 6’5 Jr Jakal Robinson from Ft. Washington (National Christian) MD. We’re talking about an athletic 3-man who knocked down a pair of threes in the final two minutes of the game and single-handedly was responsible for his team’s 63-60 win over Washington (First Love Christian) PA. The first one came with 1:50 left in the game, which tied the game at 60-60. Then, lightning struck again when he knocked down another three, which turned out to be the game winning shot with 22 seconds remaining. Robinson obviously has ice in his veins. But he also knows how to get his own shot and he proved to be one of the best outside shooters that we’ve seen all weekend, as is evident by the fact that he finished with 21 points and knocked 4-8 treys against First Love Christian. He also already has offers from schools like Oklahoma State, Connecticut, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, and St. Joseph’s. However, if he continues to play like this, we suspect that he will be one of the prime recruiting targets in the Washington, DC area a year from now. scoop3774.rssing.com/chan-30417528/latest.php#115 in the latest Rivals 150. n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2021National Christian 6-foot-5 junior guard Jakai Robinson is searching for his future college home. He might have opened some eyes Thursday as he scored 32 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Eagles (14-4) into the semifinals. www.heraldmailmedia.com/sports/sjit-opens-with-a-pair-of-thrillers/article_e5dd18a0-43d6-11ea-851e-e70d2c5847f4.html
